Do you display Product Prices on your Amazon site?

Hey,
I just wanted to see who displays product prices on their Amazon sites? I was just wondering if doing so helps increase the CTR. I know you have to have the price updated every 24 hrs and offer the product price cache disclaimer.

Just wondering if the price shown helps you out in your efforts?
Thanks in advance!

Rather than show the current price, I show a price range that the product generally sells for (eg. 100-130).

I find it helps the readers:
    a) Identify which products are in their budget and
    b) Gives them a reason to buy it when they see the amazon listed price is at the bottom of the price range I've listed.

It also means I don't have to update the prices.

I'm thinking about going a different direction for a site I have with lower ticket items and will most likely purchase a wordpress plugin that displays the prices direct from Amazon, but for high ticket items I use the above method.

There are pros and cons for both displaying and not displaying the price.

One of the benefits of not showing the price is that people will click on your affiliate link to find the price.

Once they get to Amazon, even if the price is too steep, they might buy an alternative and you still earn commission.

If you display the price and it's too steep but you don't have an alternative, your vsitors might just leave your website and you won't earn from it.

It might be considered good practice though, especially on higher price items, to give some guide to the price, as mentioned above.

Isn't it against the tos to mention the exact price?

A couple of the links available on Amazon will display a pop up window on your website which contains extra information, as well as the price.

I believe as long as you have a plugin that updates the prices every 24 hrs and offer a price disclaimer (cache disclaimer) you are ok. It's the same as using the API from Amazon.

I've tested this an found it better to play on your visitor's cutiosity by using a "check latest price" button. This at least has a higher chance of getting them through on to amazon, where they can find a range of different prices along with far more reviews and information than you could provide on your site.

Unless its a feed coming directly from Amazon your not allowed to post actual prices on your Amazon site and the preffered method is put a price range rather than an exact price.

And then add something like Click here for lowest Available Price for the xyz

      Kickin it on Amazon

Listing the price works very well for me AS WELL AS displaying the discount!

I'm confused...don't you all use the amazon widgets that display the prices or not? If not, why not?

The Amazon Widget does not produce in most cases. I use ReviewAzon, it uses the Amazon API and updates automatically daily. So I customize my own images/graphics and sales pitch instead of relying on those widgets.

The product link widget will show price either amazon or used price (your choice). You can get popup links with static text or image only product links. When someone hovers over the image or text a popup will show the current price and have a buy now button.
