Anybody know where I can find various free reports on multiple subjects (not just IM related) to give away for signing up to a list?

Thanks,
Terry

You can use articles from article directories to compile a "resource" report. Just keep the resource boxes intact.

    terryd:

Make your own! See Jean's post above. Collect 5 articles on a topic, put them together in a PDF (keeping the resource boxes and links intact, of course) and you can even embed your own promo material inside the document.

The big upside is that this means your report is unique, not the same one that's given away on 1,000's of sites already.

The caveat, of course, is that you shouldn't sell it and violate the terms of the article site. You should only give it away, and put a statement inside that says the report cannot be sold.

Go to ezinearticles.com pick out the 10 most viewed articles on a particular niche... compile them all together in a PDF, name the report something like "The top 10 most searched topics on (particular niche)" give it away...

The authors have already granted permission by submitting the article to that site, but you're right that you need to include the resource boxes, etc.

The best place is your own brain. If you write your own report, you know that nobody else is distributing the same thing (at least not legally) and you can put your own spin on the topic.

Have you joined a JV Giveaway event? You should be able to pick up lots of reports that come with giveaway rights.

Do you have a blog? If so, take a look at some of your posts and put some of them together, rewrite and tweak them, and you have a special report that's uniquely yours.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

I think I'm just going to get someone who is an expert in the subject to write a brief 10 page report or similar.

That way I'm not going to get bogged down in research when there are people who are more than happy to write a report on the topic and know what they are talking about.

I guess this type of thing should be outsourced so I can concentrate on other things anyway.

Thanks for the replies all anyway, it's much appreciated!

Outsourcing it is an option. Just make sure you read it carefully and understand it yourself. The reason I say this is because your new subscribers may consider you to be the expert and therefore rely on you for information.

I rarely post with a link to any of my sites or point someone to my sig file.
But in this case the OP did ask:

Anybody know where I can find various free reports on multiple subjects (not just IM related) to give away for signing up to a list?
Since I do have quite a few reports & plr ebooks on multiple subjects that are great for list builders at my site, it seemed to me to be an appropriate post.

Directing the OP to my sig file which also includes a direct download of a plr ebook (list builder) with squeeze page answered the question.

If I were the poster I would be happy to have been shown the resource.

    But that's just me

    Cheers,

Here's an exchange from a thread about forum rules being broken that addresses the issue as I see it...

I think the word "pointing" is being taken in the wrong context here.

It means there is no problem having a link to your wso in your sig file.

It doesn't mean trolling posts that relate to the subject of your
wso and pointing out your sig file as the answer to their prayers.
