Hi all,

Long time reader but my first post

I'm looking at producing a monthly print newsletter as part of a package. A very simple question at this stage, but for anyone with any experience in the field, can you recommend what would be a good paper to use? ie what gsm etc

Thanks in advance,
Callum

Sine I am in the US, we go with lbs/ream. The lighter the paper, the more you can send for the same amount. What this usually translates to is an extra page to mail at the same cost.

20# paper is the norm here. A heavier stock such as 24# will have a better feel, but of course is heavier and costs more. adding recycled content paper will give it a better feel as will glossy. But those are just for loks, of course it's your content that makes your newsletter a winner or not.

Doing these yourself is a major hassle. I your newsletter list is small you may want to do it yourself, if not you can easily outsource it and is highly recommended.

I have been involved in numerous newsletters and I also own a printing/publishing/advertising company.
