Affiliate Contests - What Motivates You?

Ignore all the commission you receive.

Any prizes stand out - that you remember with much fondness?

Not sure whats the rave. Apple products for 1st / 2nd place winners seem to be popular... but wouldn't cash bonuses be better?

I no longer get excited about affiliate prizes. I get excited when there is a great product that will benefit my list and I get to make money promoting it.

Very noble. You're in the minority.

Could be a lot worse things than caring more about his customers than winning a macbook.

It doesn't even make sense to promote a product if it wouldn't benefit your list. Are such products really that few and far between ... to get excited over one?

Yopu are absolutely correct that it would not make any snese. Unfortuantely, there are some folks who will promote things that are less than outstanding to their lists for the purpose of affiliate commissions and winning affiliate contests.

For search reasons I'd go with apple.

Some people search for apple product contests but less search for a certain amount of dollars.

I haven't participated in affiliate contests that much since they are mostly in IM niches and I'm outside that for now. However, I'd be motivated by vacations, cars, electronics. Sure cash is always great but I think prizes can bring more value an excitement than that same amount of cash. Just my opinion.

Ethics out the window... the big guns point blank prefer hard cash.
