Attitude Problems--the right way to do it?

This is my first solo post that is not responding to someone else's post, so if in the wrong area, I deeply apologize.

I have bought a few WSOs even those that were WSO of the day.

One was great, but not newbie friendly as promised, refund no problem.
Several were antiquated with methods that no longer work.

One I just bought a week ago. Sparse information and I have been trying to get a refund and no answer after a few days. Another person called him out on it and said he wanted a refund. HOwever the problem was the poster, a newbie was extremly abrasive and he shouldn't have been. The WSO poster basically called him a jerk.

Now, I posted that I have asked for a refund several times (through email and on the fourm page), but have yet to get a response. One person asked me what I didn't like about it. Now since there are 6 pages of POSITIVE results (even though no one has said they have made any money with this), I am reluctant to reply seeing what happens in that thread going on. So I asked the person to PM me as I am not yet at 50 posts.

Should I just PM that person back or should I leave it on the page for the world to see and if so, how do I do it the right way? If I leave a very negative review it could ruin the persons rep (although I was disillusioned that one week after he released the first program he released an updated version (didn't offer it to those who bought the first program) and that one has had several hundred buy also. Not one of those people have said they have made money! I want to come across like I am not suffering from "sour grapes"

On Monday I will be going to paypal to ask for a refund as he does not respond to his emails. So what is the best way to handle this?

Thank you for your assistance.

If you have tried to contact them multiple times and they have been unresponsive for at least a few days, then you should not feel bad about filing a paypal dispute.

That will get their attention if they have the slightest concern for customer service.

Probably stay out of the forum thread and deal directly with paypal. This will save you the hassle of wasting energy on something that is not productive at all. If he isn't responding to you now he probably won't. You have already posted you want a refund several times as you say. Paypal have a very good system in place to facilitate the refund process.

Mind you though that since this is a digital product paypal states that they are not obligated to give you a refund. Paypal will open a dispute for you but they will allow the seller to explain his side of the story and they will try to mediate. If the seller ignores the dispute and does not offer a rebuttal you will then have to escalate it to a claim. The seller has 10 days to respond. If they do not then paypal automatically decides in your favor.

Avoid that newbie's mistake and very civilly stick to the facts.

Someone asked why you didn't like the product? Tell them, specifically, what you didn't like about this one product. Don't make generalisations, just stick to specifics.

As for the seller's rep, if you stick to the above any damage will be self-inflicted. You can't please everyone, and even if you could everyone has a clinker now and then.

thank you all. I finally heard from him when I filed a complaint with WF. Took that long. Called me a baby for asking wf for help. Should have known problems would happen when he started berating people who criticized him!

good luck to all of us in our endeavors!

To John- I love your signature? I have seen it before in SHOE the comic strip. Where did you find the other parts, especially the tofu part?

The first part I stole from an old friend, who used to use that line on waitresses when they asked if he wanted a salad with his meal.

I picked up the PETA line from a stand-up comic whose name I can't recall.

The tofu line is mine. Came up with it in a discussion with a vegan friend who was trying to convert me...

      Glad you like it.

Glad to hear everything worked out okay. I had a similar issue with a web designer. I went straight through the process at PayPal. Anytime you run into situations like this you should definitely deal with them.

They sent him emails with no responses so I escalated it to a claim as opposed to a complaint. I believe it freezes their account until the situation is resolved. Always the easiest route to take without dealing the individual.
