Anyone use PixelGigs?

I somehow ended up on the PixelGigs site, I think from a link on facebook. It seems like a good product and great business opportunity. Does anyone here have any experience with it, good or bad. Is the product good?

Took a quite glance over their site... it sure looks like an overwhelming product to me, trying to do way too much stuff. I mean, look at their comparison page (Compare SmartSuite) they even show the services/products they've tried to clone and mush together... Sales Force, GoToWebinar, Constant Contact, Carbonite Pro, GoDaddy, YouSendIt..etc

I can't say I've tried PixelGigs, so upfront I will say I can't judge the quality of their product. However, a word of advice: If you rely solely on a service that tries to 'do it all' then most likely the features within that product aren't near as good as the competitors who have focused their product on doing that one thing really really well and are the #1 player in that market.

    Breaking down the features:

    - Hosting and domain name I would never trust to an all-in-one type service... go with reliable hosting from a reliable source. You can get hosting from HostGator (using special coupons) for 20% off and get it for under $5/mo (definitely not $15/mo for domain and hosting like they list)

    - GoToMeeting is one of the best services of its kind out there, there's a reason why it's #1 and well worth the money if you're planning to do webinars. Their e-mailing system and software is great. - Starts at $99, not $399 like they say.

    - Newsletters.. they list Constant Contact, but I would recommend Aweber. Best out there hands down, and fantastic inbox rate (chance that your email wont be marked as spam!) - $20/mo

    - Sending Large Files - not sure why this is part of it, but there's dozens of FREE services that do this. Did I say FREE? Even YouSendIt is free (which they list the pro version for)... megaupload, mediafire, just to name a few others.

    - Computer backup? - again, seems an odd service to offer, but I'd stick with the pros at this game, If I'm storing all my computer files with someone I want them to be the best at it and backup is their single and only business.... and they better have been doing it for a long time with a great track record. Check out mozy.com they start at $6! Or if you just want an online solution to store and sync files, check out DropBox.com (FREE!)

Remote access - VNC, FREE... RealVNC - VNC® remote control software

Website Building - Use Wordpress. FREE. Plenty of training for free online, PM me if you want help setting up a site.

If you add it all up, you'd be spending $130-150/mo and not $565 like they show. Of course, it wouldn't be all integrated, but you'd be getting the best of the best services out there.

Yeah i see your point, i have hosting through hostgator but was thinking of doing more with the internet marketing thing so the email service and webinar thing seem like i could use them eventually. The commission plan was what caught my eye. Recurring commissions, and a referral plan that can go 7 levels deep. I realize that some people have a bad opinion of multi-tier programs, because they remind them of MLM. But have been and still am involved in an MLM, havent made much money but i do realize the power of the payplan and know how much people do make with a payplan like that. So i guess i'm just fishing for someone who has used their product that can give an opinion on it.

If you're looking to get into email marketing, definitely go with Aweber for $20/mo. Best out there. Also, if the referral program is what interested you... build a website and create your list using Aweber and then later on send an email about PixelGigs to your subscribers and possibly make money promoting it to your list that way. But I wouldn't use PixelGigs personally to run your entire business off of.

Question now is... will they let you affiliate market their product without actually signing up and paying monthly for it? Maybe you can sign up for the 15-day trial in order to get into their affiliate program and then just cancel after the 15 days but continue your affiliate marketing of it? You'd have to ask them, as their affiliate page is very unclear.

If I promote it I plan on promoting it a lot!! So i don't really want to start doing that if the product isn't a decent product, I just wouldnt really feel right doing that. I'm fairly certain you can't promote it unless you are signed up for the service.
