I.M. as an multi million business?

Just a bit of background, recently I have been working at a financial advisory for a while now and I am interested in starting a business and/or doing finance or economics in uni. I also do I.M. part time. Was recently thinking is there any way to set up an I.M. business but run it as a "original" business in an office, would there be any way to do this? How could it be done, seo, niche marketing... Does anyone have any ideas/advice? Thanks.

Yes, IM can create multi billion dollar companies.

I personally wouldn't recommend taking on office space until you are ready financially. No need signing leases if you don't have a gameplan, it just doesn't make financial sense.

There are a ton of things you can do, my recommendation though is to get something up and running first. Whatever you do though, the key is to make sure that the value you provide is more than the fees that you are charging. If you do that, you won't have a problem getting office space soon.

An office may be necessary if your are offering services to local businesses, or if your methods uniquely requires a staff of local worker, with the accompanying employer tax obligations.

Some doing the home office approach employing low cost outsources for the turning nuts and bolts, will get dressed for work, get in their car and drive around the block, to help switch their mind set to serious work mode.

The billionaire internet players usually have their own unique product or service. Just scaled up marketing can be done with small facilities, you just need massive capitol to float for media costs.
