How Can I Help?
I'm posting this thread as a way to share a great insight I recently had that has deeply impacted me.
I was beginning to experience real burn out with all the systems and tools and training programs I was using and studying and trying on my downline.
Now don't get me wrong...I am a big fan of using tools and gaining ongoing education. In fact I created a video about it and make it required viewing for my team.
What I'm talking about is what I experienced as the phenomenon of "what's in it for me?" "How can I make the most money and work the least amount of time?"
To make a long story short what I've come to learn is that networking is about providing REAL VALUE to our team and offering REAL VALUE to our prospects. What do I mean by REAL VALUE?
Caring enough to ask the right questions and actually listening to the answers so that we can understand what EACH PERSON really needs and wants.
Giving truthful responses to each prospect and team member and letting them know THE REAL DEAL.
Doing our absolute best to provide exactly what that person needs to succeed...not just whatever we have to offer that makes us the most money.
What I've found is that my business DRAMATICALLY changed when I started from a place of "How Can I Help?" Instead of viewing each prospect or team member as a potential commission or ongoing income source, I asked myself "how can I serve this person?" "How can I help you?"
In fact, I created what I call "My Reality Statement" that I have on my desk. This statement proclaims that above all esle, I am dedicated to creating value for my prospects and customers and clients. I read this statement twice each day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
The words and the deep consciousness of "creating value" has dramatically changed the dynamic of my business AND personal relationships. Here's an excerpt:
Prosperity Consciousness inspires me to focus solely on creating value
for others. Through this value creation, limitless abundance flows to me
in the form of money, relationships and fun.....
I encourage each of you to take some time and create your own Reality Statement as sort of a personal and business mission statement. I have no doubt you will see profound changes in your business and your life.
Don't take my word for it.....
Try it out for yourself. Don't worry about making the sale or getting the affiliate commission....
Before you talk with anyone take a deep breath and ask yourself....
"HOW CAN I HELP?"
Let us all know how it works!!
Happy New Year Everyone
