Advice on how and where to promote/sell/get reviews on Warrior Forum

Hi guys,

I have recently taken up a 'hobby' developing some useful tools that I have found I have a need for on my wordpress sites/blogs.

My first product is almost finished and I would like some advice on how to go about getting it promoted, reviewed and then sold on Warrior Forum.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, the plugin is a ranking/seo tool.

Look forward to any advice.

Regards

I would suggest offering review copies to a few warriors of your plug-in to test in exchange for a honest review.

Once you have received reviews, you can add them to your thread on launch of your product.

    Hope this helps.

This is verging on the tricky darkside of WSO selling. Every IMer who runs a WSO would love to have influential marketers give reviews that they can load up their WSO thread with in order to substantiate sale...however, it isn't always looked upon highly when someone just begins flooding other's inboxes with email requests for reviews.

When I was new to WF, I really tried to form relationship with people through the main forum, before I felt I could bravely go and send them requests to review their WSOs. Remember, time is money....and, no matter how great one thinks their WSO is, many warriors don't have the time to read or implement strategies, especially when they typically have tons of other projects on the go.

It all begins with forming relationships, though. Unfortunately (or fortunately) that DOES take time and effort to nurture and cultivate those relationships. Right now, in a highly competitive WSO market, it kills me to see so many people wanting/needing reviews, but, receiving them is like prying something out of a cold dead hand. I have so many WSO review requests in my inbox right now, but I just don't have the time....

When I was early in my WSO selling career, it bothered me to no end that it essentially bordered harrassment as many emails I had sent had fallen upon deaf ear. Now, I totally understand the "other" side--sometimes it's just very hard to keep up with all the WSO review requests.

You first need to join the War Room to be able to post WSOs. That costs a one time fee of $37. As for reviews ... you can't ask for them on the main forum. Try the review section. You can also give away review copies in your WSO thread once it is approved for a testimonial. You cannot start threads in the forum that will appear to be a presell or a request for testimonials or reviews.

Thanks for that, just learning the ropes around here!

Can you advise then, once I have my product ready and join the war room can I provide review copies to fellow WSO'ers before I decide to sell it (I want to make sure feedback is good before I start selling!).

I don't want to create a WSO until I am happy with the feedback received.

      Thanks in advance

I believe, but am not sure, that you can do that in the Review section of the forum. Only a mod can tell you for sure.

Yes you can, and that´s the point of it.
Once you have got some relationships with other warriors, you can ask some of them, if they would review your product, and give your an honest opinion. Those feedback/reviews, you will be able to use, when you then actually launch the product as a WSO.

Yes, indeed....this is actually the approach I would prefer as you save everyone's time. Bare in mind, it is rare to make EVERYONE happy. No matter how much hard work you invest into your product/service/plugin, there will always be a combination of positive reviews, general constructive criticisms, as well as, highly critical reviews. Knowing that no product will ever be perfect, once you release your WSO, you can also encourage further constructive criticism and develop your product and WSO around feedback given from those who have purchased and who have received free review copies.

Always strive give as much value as possible to the end user. Refine and move forward based on the feedback you are given.

It is important to also realize that, even though one may give a free WSO to review, it isn't entirely "free", especially when others have alot of other projects going on.

      You are asking people to:

      1) Read/Try your product
      2) Take at least some time to gauge its effectiveness and ability to meet the expectations of the sales copy
      3) Construct a thoughtful and honest review that could be several sentences to several paragraphs long.

By all accounts, this is EXACTLY why some either just don't respond or respond to WSO review requests by saying that they'd love to but just don't have the time. When I first began selling WSO's, I would think "it's a great product...why won't people give it a shot...afterall, it IS a free review copy I'm giving them...?"

The time required to do all that is an associated cost....regardless of the product being given for free.

This is EXACTLY why forming relationships is absolutely required in order to obtain heartfelt and honest reviews. While a small percentage may succeed without reviews, most won't purchase unless esteemed and influential, well-known, warriors step up and endorse the WSO.
