Can you recommend a Windows webhost for .net website??

Hello Warriors,

Up till now I've done all my websites in php or regular html. But now I got a project that absolutely requires the use of a asp website and I just don't have any experience with them. This project in an important one so rather than take a chance, I'd really appreciate it if some of you could recommend services you've ACTUALLY USED. No affiliate references please.

I need to start out with a smaller virtual dedicated server and eventually move up to an actual dedicated server. Customer support is number one. Price is number two.

I used Brinkster a few years ago on a client project and I was happy with them but they're really on the lower end of the marketplace.

You might want to ask around at forums.asp.net and get some opinions there.

I have a dedicated server at hostgator. I haven't had a single problem yet and their support team is excellent. Their live chat people are really good and my support tickets get answered within a few hours or less. One time, one of my tickets got answered within the hour...I was shocked.

I know a lot of folks have mixed opinions on GoDaddy, but I have a .Net hosting account with them and have been really pleased with it.

I've never really had any real issues and it is a snap to create application starting points using their management tools. They offer .net 3.5 hosting, which was one of the main reasons that I got that account, unlimited domains.

hostgator is not offering windows .net hosting yet, at least not yet about 2 weeks ago.

godaddy windows .net hosting and support made me left them, it was about 2.5 years ago, maybe they improved.

  I do agree that DiscountASP.NET is a great hosting company, and i bought a year's worth of hosting there initially. The issue I have with them is that they do not have a unlimited domain plan.
  
  Unless they have changed, they charge around $20 to setup additional "addon" domains where as GoDaddy is unlimited and free as part of your plan.
  
  If you are buying as many domains a month as I am, it just isn't cost effective to do that.

  I have used many different hosts for windows hosting and by far the best for me has been Crystaltech. I have used them for about 8 years and have about 60 websites hosted there.
  
  They have 24/7 support with a toll free number, though I rarely have needed to use their support. They also have an active user forum that is very supportive and you can publicly interact with the staff and management.
  
  If secure and reliable .Net hosting at an affordable price is what you seek I highly recommend them.
