HELP! pay per download software

To keep it simple and cheap I would build a membership site with Joomla use the Seyret video plugin which you can set to show only x amount of seconds of the video. Setup paid membership for the site - members can watch/download the full video.

Ya something along those lines is what I need to find a script for.

After purchase the person would be directed to either a static or dynamic thank you page which can have expiration security (also up to the publisher).

That thank you page can then display a multitude of delivery options via our system ranging from a one click itunes subscribe and download button to a zune button to a feed url to a yahoo, aol, or msn homepage rss subscription button to a regular old fashioned download link.

However itunes is one of the best ways to deliver because in one click of the itunes button generated dynamically on the thank you page for that specific purchaser they are issued a unique and secured feed, itunes opens, and the file begins to download.

Itunes also acts as a download manager where if the file is large they can pause in mid download and come back and resume later. Itunes is also the perfect platform for playing back and viewing video and audio.

iTunes as a desktop delivery device is one of the most prolific and widely installed software on earth with hundreds of millions of people with it installed already plus its a free download if they do not have it and its OEM software on most new computers bundled with quicktime player.

In addition to this dynamic thank you page and feed subscription/media download delivery system our system can optionally create a membership to a secure access area where you could additionally embed the media so that they would have to login and get the media. You could also include their subscription button inside the secure members area as well and automate retrieval if they ever needed to retrieve the file they downloaded say after a computer crash etc.

If you are obsessive about security you can take advantage og our advanced security features that allow you to limit the amount of times the feed delivering the media file can be accessed either per day or per lifetime... to turn it all the way up you would set a one lifetime access (this can be reset/refreshed by you for the individual on an as needed basis).

This means that once the one click itunes button is clicked, and itunes automatically opens and the file automatically downloads (itunes works just like email clients respond to mailto links) the feed will be locked so that no one else can access it. For each purchase a feed is made by the system for each individual subscriber.

This system also allows you the power to use itunes or other podcatcher and rss delivery devices as your own personal communication systems. You can broadcast additional content down the secure feeds at any time and even look up individual subscribers and send them personal video, audio, pdf messages if you wanted to.

Basically our system will let a person do something as simple as automate a digital product order and download via a download page... and they can add to it everything from a one click itunes delivery, premium podcast, membership area, even printed CD, DVD, or book all 100% automated and all as easy as traditional digital publishing.
