I'm Finally Getting $100+ Days!

I've been into internet marketing for much of my life, though I did not know that's what it was.

I've dabbled in adult marketing since 1999, and let me tell that's as long ago as it feels. I used HotMetalPro and.. let's just say things were a bit different back then. There was no Google and hosting was expensive.. lol, I could go on and on, but I won't.

In 2008ish I took a course called "Tycoon Cash Flow" which was a good course for someone to learn internet marketing in mainstream niches. From that point I began a long process of being an affiliate marketer.

Making a long story short, after struggling to generate consistent income in more mainstream niche's I simply combined what I learned in affiliate marketing, SEO with the adult market and now I'm FINALLY starting to make a consistent income.

I'm averaging about $70 per day? right now, but with the new domains I'm working on they should easily push me above (double) that in a couple of months. By this time next year, I expect to be nearing 40-50k a year.. Unless the financial markets implode.. lol. Anyway..

My word of wisdom to anyone entering the bidness is this;
  • Get a hosting account with HostGator.
  • Use the Google Keyword tool to find high traffic phrases.
  • Buy valuable domains (.com, net and org only) for those phrases.
This is what I do in general, but it does take some money to invest for the hosting, domains and the time to search for the good phrases.

This is just my take on it and how I'VE succeeded.

Some people use social bookmarking, free blogs and article writing. I DON'T USE ANY OF THAT. In fact, this is the first article I've written in.... well a long time.

I'm really excited about the possibilities of some of these niches I go into. One affiliate pays me $54 per sale (USD) and I just happen to be in spot 3 for that phrase. Made two sales with them and I just started pushing them this last few months. I can rest easy knowing that that site should create sales on auto-pilot for years. And I just keep doing this over and over again.

So I hope you enjoyed this stroll down memory lane. I'm excited with the success I'm starting to see and wanted to share. If anyone out there is looking to get into affiliate marketing I highly recommend you understand that darn Google Keyword tool and the difference between exact phrase matches! lol

Hi great to hear that you are making consistent income from your niche. What would you suggest to a newbie in IM: to make a product and sell or affiliate marketing?

If you can't create a product then you do affiliate marketing.

Once you succeed at that, then you create a product on how YOU succeeded in affiliate marketing.

It's tough for newbies right now. Everyone and everything hates internet marketing. Google is vastly changing their indexing algorithm based off of what WE DO. Which is silly, because we'll just adapt to what THEY DO.

But just make sure you get a hosting account. Use WordPress Multisite. (my signature has a course which shows you how to enable and setup wordpress multisite on Hostgator) and then just start buying domain names with value.

I personally find WordPress Multisite the best thing since running water.

    Congrats mate.

    I'm curious though..

If you dont do article marketing, social bookmarking etc, how exactly do you get traffic/get your sites ranked?

Just saw this question. I'd 5k exact searches and above. If, however, it's WIDE OPEN and the .COM is available then I worry less about that.

      Thanks.

Omg, I absolutely agree that Wordpress multi is the best thing ever. I have about 5 installs running roughly 230 TLDs

updates, plugin and theme management is a complete breeze. It honestly helps me make more money, and helps me make sites faster.

The only downsize is that it becomes a bit messy when I need to sell sites. As you can't just do a regular transfer to wordpress single user.

Getting pr 1-5 backlinks is what the adult industry is made for. Combine this with our SEO ninja skillz and it's remarkably easy to get into profitable phrases. I can't say much more.. lol

That's a great story. My friend and I tried to do that stuff five or six years ago. We didn't know any of the SEO stuff and did everything via adwords. We barely broke even and we could only rank well SERP-wise in a very specific niche that didn't get a whole lot of traffic.

I am happy for that you kept it up and starting to see great results!

Brad here. Congratulations. You have obviously paid your dues and made the system start to return some of the love you have shown the business.

Great work - keep it up - your success is extremely encouraging. Maybe the best part of your post was the "history". No google, expensive hosting etc.

With all the changes going on right now - that history actually gives us some confidence. Even though there are changes - they don't have to mean bad results will follow.

I am very pleased for your success and wish you more - much more of the same. That screen shot is awsome.

    Cheers !

Back then, I believe even small to medium adult sites would cost $1000's a month to pay for bandwidth. Domain's were more expensive (and their value not fully understood yet in terms of S.E.O) and video formats were a nightmare. Now, with HostGator, FLV and MP4, WordPress and even Google.. well things are much different!

      All things change..

Wow! Thanks for the share. How much are the start-up costs for each website? I know the basic domain name and hosting costs apply, but are any other costs involved?

Hosting and Domain names are the only costs.

But my hosting plan (haha) is less than $10 a month...
