Suggestions on what to pay??

Well have been working my butt off on my entertainment news site and it has finally jumped from 2k views to 8k views per day within that last few months. With the pagerank update, it's also gone from a pr 0 to a pr 4 which is great.

Problem is:

I work 10 hr days at another job.. I try to put up min. 5 new articles a day to stay fresh.

I want to take my site to the next level but really can't afford to hire writers at a mthly fee.

What is a fair price to pay someone to just rewrite articles? My articles are min. 500 words.. But again the article just needs to be re-written and not by a spinning service..

Any suggestions warriors??

Thanks,
Kim

There are some who have offered to do the entire writing process for $5. To re-write, I'd think, there would be some who would be willing to do it for that or even a dollar or two less.

You may be able to find something like that on Fiverr....

In my experience, you get what you pay for when it comes to content creation.

In the end, if your aim is quality content I have found that building a relationship with a number of writers is the best way to go.

Try a few out for an article or two, then offer the writers you like constant work. With constant weekly work you'll be able to get the price per article down.

Pricing will vary niche to niche and quality of writer, in one niche I pay $50 for 5 articles a week, in another for $75 I get 25 articles a week.

Rewriting articles will be much cheaper, but make a connection with the writer and explain exactly what you want/need.

But make the move, explore outsourcing your content, you have the right mindset.

  • Hi Kim,

I assume you're referring to local monthly wages of content writers when you said you can't afford this arrangement? I suggest hiring a professional offshore English content writer on a monthly basis, especially since your website is an entertainment news portal, which means it should regularly offer updated content. Going with a pay-per-article arrangement is good for projects that aren't time sensitive. After all: News isn't news at all if it's outdated, right?

A pay-per-article arrangement will just cause headaches, wasted time and frustration, especially since you need to regularly:

•Go to websites like Fiverr.Com and find available service providers who can accommodate your time sensitive requirements...
•Worry about them being unable to send punctual submissions in the quality you need each day...
•Contact them via email or Instant Messaging to get status updates and other details...

I didn't include my signature in this post, because of the rules against self promotion. you can send a PM or an email here so I can try to help you...

I really don't have any idea on the payment that you need when asking for article re-writing. Some buyers are paying $2 each article re-written. Some are paying below $2. There are also some who are paying just 50 cents per re-written article although for me, that is way too low. It really depends on what you really want on the article.
