Suggestion for the WSO Section

Hi, I'll admit that I haven't been on this forum for very long, but I've been involved in Internet marketing, and the works for about two years. But I think this suggestion needs to be made.

The WSO section is obviously flooded every single day with the next best IM product. At some times it seems like there is a WSO posted every 5 minutes. And I don't like the fact that relatively new people are joining the forum, just to make money off the WSO section, because I believe this leads to people just making posts that lack substance, just to increase their post count.

So, with that said, my suggestion is that every WSO that is submitted should be reviewed, by the admin, or a group of designated moderators, to make sure the WSO is actually offering valuable content.

And when I say reviewed, I don't just mean have them take a look at the sales page. I'm saying they need to be given a copy of the product, so that it can be determined whether it will be beneficial to the WSO buyers (this is obviously very vague, but can be expanded upon), and if is not, then it should not be allowed to be posted as a WSO. If it is doesn't meet the requirements, the reviewers could explain to the WSO creator why the WSO wasn't accepted, and give them suggestions for making it fit the requirements.

I'm saying this because I think there are a lot of WSO's that are simply out there to make a quick buck, and not offer value to the buyer.

But again, it's just an idea I had, and I'd like to see what you guys think.

Who has the time to review all of those products? You?

We put out a product a few months ago that had 11.5 hours of video and 100+ pages of written text. Imagine reviewing that product and the other 200 new products a week.

Cost of advertising will surely go up, and volume will go down. (I think I might like that... Less competition...)

The issue is that if YOU are the reviewer, in which areas do I create products, where you are truly qualified to judge the "quality" of my products?

I create a lot of products in a number of niches. So you would need a diverse background to be able to review all of my products.

Another issue is people who don't like me. I have good friends here in the forum, and others hate my guts.

Should any of those unnamed souls be given the right to judge my products as "quality" or not? Do you think they will honestly try to be fair, or will they let their prejudices enter the decision making process?

You are not the first to suggest this, and I am sure you will not be the last...

But one thing for sure is that what might seem fine and dandy on the surface is an idea that is hard to execute, and like government work, the legislation might just make the problem worse, rather than better.

You have, currently, 69 posts. Your sig has a WSO. You joined on 5-18. You announced your WSO in the JV section on 6-06 and the WSO 5 days later. Not even a month went by and you was running a WSO. I would be willing to bet you did right after your post count hit the magic number.

Seems to me that you are one of the people youre complaining about.

I think your suggestion is because you dont like the competition.

      Nice catch.

Legislating one's competition out of the marketplace is usually a futile approach...

When one competitor disappears, there are usually a dozen people willing to pick up the hammer and try to beat that nail that was just abandoned by a competitor.

As tpw said, it is just not possible to review everything in that detail. Wish that wasn't so as I agree with the OP on this.

The thing that verifies the WSO product is the first Warriors that buy it. Most have a guarantee, and if the WSO is really crap and doesn't deliver, then go through the process of charge back if no refund.

This will not protect everyone, but those vendors that manage to cheat people will get a reputation and their days of this practice will be short lived. There is no way to protect everyone from everything. This is just one of the stumbling blocks of life.

I agree that these are problems, but they're two separate problems, since there's currently no minimum post count needed to start a WSO (you just need to be a War Room member).

This exact thing has been already publicly suggested too many times to count, and it won't work for some of the reasons already mentioned above.
