What kind of affiliate link is it? Clickbank?

      Cpa, clickbank.

Amazon is the only one working!

I will try redirecting later on.

If Facebook don't want affiliate links on their site surely that is their right.

I don't think this thread is discussing what facebook do or do not want but is discussing what is happening when posting links, sometimes I get the same error when posting to my personal account that has nothing to do with selling anything or setting someone up for a sales funnel.

Sure facebook may not want something but they need to explain more clearly what they do or do not want.

Jeffery Deaver the author of the new 007 book recently had an app pulled from facebook with the same error message as facebook declared it "spammy" when this was not the case it was just a popular app and after he complained it was given the green light again.

I find it laughable that facebook declare apps and adds "spammy" yet allow farmville and all those other style games to spam left right and centre every time the player does something.

I would notify and ask for clarification on what the issue is and think this will be more usefull advice than "facebook have the right"

            Good luck

Did you simply copy and paste the link in? Facebook will often throw up an error with copy and paste of links. So by all means do that but also write something unique next to the link. If I ever use a shortener service I change the wording a little next to the link. I don't have an issue this way.

Try this and see if you get on okay. It works for me.

Honestly, I've had that happen with all types of links, not just affiliate links - ie: one day it happened when I posted a video of Jim Rohn and another time when I posted a link to the new beastie boys album lol ... I personally think it's just a glitch in their system. Keep in mind, we're all limited to how many links can be posted per day and that it seems to vary, so I keep my link posting to a minimum and try not to post tons of links in groups etc. And if I were you, I'd set up another admin account to manage your page too, so as to not make one seem "spammy". For instance, with one of my accounts I'm not allowed to buy FB ads - I've got no clue as to why that is, but with my other one I can ... they really need to quit with all the upgrades they think we want and work out the glitches they already have.

thats fair enough but I have a gaming site that has some CPA offers on it but any link I post on FB just points to new posts but I get exactly the same problem

I have tried the button to let them know and sent a few emails but haven't heard anything.

It's a real pain especially since the FB page is just for a genuine hobby

Are you also getting this product when redirecting to a free report for example? Or is this something you haven't tried yet?

I use my own url shortener, it's called Shorty it's donationware, and doesn't seem to being actively developed any more, but seems to work just fine.

I have it installed at 1 location on a hostgator shared account, and use it by setting up symlinks in every domain where I want to use it.

    mydomain.com/recommends/hotprogram
    or
    myotherdomain.com/recommends/hotprogram both result in

    myclickbankid.hotprogram.hop.clickbank.net

One advantage of that, is that it gives me backlinks to mydomain.com that the search engines can see.
Also I can make one change in the shorty dashboard and alter the redirect either to a landing page on my site or a different affiliate link.

I have this problem with my Maxbounty affiliate link and it really sucks tbh. I tried bit.ly and other URL shorteners but Facebook is still detecting it.

Maybe try doing a 301 redirect off of your domain. You do have a site of your own, right?
