Just wanted to post this here real quick and see if any of you have dealt with this and what solution(s) you have figured out.

The problem we're having right now is when a person buys the membership then they are taken to the upsell funnel in 1SC. As long as they continue to go through the entire funnel and arrive at the end, then they will be added to DAP and be sent notification of their username/password.

If they abandon the cart, say on upsell 2 of 3, then they, for some reason, aren't being added to DAP and they don't get a username password when the membership was the first thing they bought.

How can we fix? DAP thank you should be one of the first things they get added to before the upsell.

Is there the right way to do this? Is there something we can embed on the upsell pages like a redirect that will then add them to DAP? How about maybe like an exit popup that goes to DAP when they abandon the cart?

As many 1SC or 1SiteAutomation sites that have been integrated with DAP, I can't imagine that no one has had this problem before and ther's not a solution. I think that I am just making this much more hard than it should be.

    Hi Aaron,

    It sounds like you are relying on the customer to land on the thank-you page in order to collect their data and have them added to your external member system. The problem with using this method is that there is no way you can ensure a customer will actually land on the thank you page, with our without Upsell Funnels in place.

    Effectively the customer has control to close their browser or abandon the process between placing their order and landing to your thank you page.

    What we might recommend in this situation is connecting your external system with our API, which can reliably deliver the order and customer information to you 100% of the time and almost in real-time if you set it up with our notification system.

    I'm not a developer, but we do have an API wiki manual that may help your or your webmaster set this up as an alternative, or backup to the thank you page POST method you are currently using.
