can someone give me some advice on doing my 1st wso

i'm hoping to get my 1st one started in the next month and i need some advice.

as im in the health and fitness niche and working on my new site, for a while now i've been looking for plr videos for pilates, and failed to find any, just articles and ebooks etc.
i asked the question on here a little while back and got the reply that yes plr pilates videos are hard to find.

what i have planned to fill this gap,is to contact some local pilates trainers and see if they want to do a venture with me by recording the instructor and do quite a few short videos on each exercise.

i need some advice on anyone who puts videos on here.

how many videos is the norm and how long for each exercise,? i know the filesize has to come into play etc

i'm guessing i would have to go 50/50 with the trainer?

how much could i possibly sell these for, as plr? for maybe lets say 30 short training videos, ill have to work it out once i make some contacts and get a deal going.

thanks
ray

If you go to exercise sites, you can get a feel for how long the videos will be.

I did pilates years ago, and I can tell you it will likely be cut into segments. Like warm up videos, and then other videos which focus on different areas to strengthen.

You have to decide if this is going to be just a beginner course or if it will go into advanced stuff.

A typical class can go half an hour to a full hour - and I would consult with the instructors first to look for sensible places to split the videos without destroying the workout.

Be careful about any background music you might want to use - that it is original or something you have clear rights to use. I'd recommend using some for an intro and exit out of the vids.

If you are going to offer these videos as plr, you are going to want to offer source files if possible, and several formats for people to convert or edit from.

im just after a bit of feedback really.

i've got a pilates instructor sorted and i think were ready for filming in about 2 weeks. he's dealing with that side of things and i will be dealing with, sales, graphics, editing, and promotion etc. were going to go 50/50.

if i had beginners, intermediate. and advanced dvds, with resell rights, what would be a fair price for a wso to start off with, considering its very hard to find brand new original fitness video content with resell rights, and these will be full dvds, not just snipits of short tuitions.

not sure what the download size will be yet,i'll know nearer the time.
i will limit these to maybe 100(would that be ok or maybe more)

what would be the refund policy on this bearing in mind that they will be full dvds, on a download and i dont think its right to offer refunds because of the high value of the content, they could keep the dvds and keep on selling them.i notice on most dvd resell sites they dont offer refunds because of this.
on the wso page i will be putting a short sample of what will be on the dvds, so this should show people what the quality is like before buying.
if theres anything else i should know i'd be greatfull for some feedback.
i dont want to charge too much but i dont want them to go cheap.

I'm a fan of thinking big so maybe go the WSO route but to be perfectly honest, I don't see it being a big blockbuster 3,000 sale WSO jsut because of the nature of the product.

I DO think if you can record some good stuff, you can establish yourself in that niche and create traditional product launches within the niche. Use the videos to build a list or create reports to build a list and then build a full out product or intructional course with the videos and material. Then attract affiliates and do a launch.

I can see some big money in that niche so that's what I would do personally. And as far as profit split, I would personally try and but the rights to the videos full out so you retain the lions share of profits and then give him/her a piece of equity as well...this is if you go the big product launch route.

I love that niche though...have thought about pursuing myself...just need more hours in the day!

I would definitely take a look at the price levels of PLR products/videos that are offered in the WSO forum....and make sure you're OK competing at those price points. Not saying that's where you must be or anything, just be aware of it.

Also, I think Kenster has a good point about trying to not have such a generous partnership arrangement. After a split like that, price constraints and wso fees, wsopro fees, paypal fees, you might not see much when the dust settles.

the 50/50 split was going to be after all those expenses have been spent.basically 50/50 of the profit.
i think he will have higher costs than me because of the hiring of the recording equipment and who evers doing the recording, etc and time.
my time, creating covers, graphics, and promotion can be done in my spare time, so my costs will be minimal.
as this is my first time doing this i wanted someone else to sort the recording side of it out while i do the rest, so to make sure we get this at a good quality i offered the 50/50 to clinch the deal and get me started.
i'll obviously learn from this, and i hope it will give me some good testimonials and references for future products.

I'm not sure, trying to figure this stuff out myself. I'll be working on my own videos and marketing, so I'd be testing the market, too. Good luck.
