Most of the emails (if not all of them ) that go out of my server get either into junk folders or get blocked, which basically makes sending emails pointless.

I am wondering if I get google email hosting then will it get better? I don't know how that works but does anybody have any experience?

I send out thousands of emails a day (people registering on my apps/site/etc), but since most of them are going to junk folder, I need to figure out what my options are.

...and no I am not looking for aweber solution....

Thanks

You need to look into servers designed specifically for mailing.

If you're sending 1,000s of e-mails from your server then your IP will (as you probably now know) get blocked as spam. There are solutions for this if you get e-mail hosting that is designed for just what you're trying to do.

You are right. I need to know what that solution is. Can you point me in that direction?

Sadly I don't do many mailings anymore but probably a google search for e-mail hosting or something similar will get you the big boys.

They do certain things, probably most importantly, insure the use of opt-ins, etc. in a way that complies with US law which allows them to not get blacklisted as spam and continue to send out a ton of e-mails.

when you say google email hosting are you referring to Gmail or talking about migrating your email to Google Apps? I'm relatively sure that Gmail won't solve your problem and I have not sent out mass mailings using Google Apps but I don't think it will solve your problem because one of the add-ons they recommend is MailChimp.
I'm not really sure why you're against using an autoresponder since the metrics could prove to be quite effective in adjusting your campaigns.
Also your email subjects can be getting your messages bounced too.
