New issue with PayPal?

I noticed starting yesterday that I'm no longer getting PayPal email notification when I've made a sale. I asked another marketer to check and they found the same thing.

Is anyone else suddenly having this issue?

They are still sending me email notifications of ongoing subscription payments.

    I just got one overnight. But you probably got a lot of us to just check our PayPal balance. So the answer for me is - no, I'm fine. Thus far.

    For some reason I just do not like paypal at all. To me it only works for people in the US yet I come across people from the US who have had a lot of problems with them.

      Yes, noticed today when a client sent me money directly, did not get the usual 'you got money' email.

    I'm sure its nothing to become alarmed about. More than likely them just either doing some testing or updating that may have affected those emails. Or they just turned them off so not to cause a bigger problem than might have been by leaving them on.

    Things will be back to normal, shortly.

    IF they DO change something that alters the flow of what has been in place for so long... rest assured they'd provide adequate notice; just like they always do.

      Darn tooting right. I filter those emails into a folder so I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it. Glad they're working on it though. It's nice for support issues and such as well.

      Hi Peggy,

      Good thing was that you looked after that issue. We can rest ourselves, they know their stuff, and correcting the error. (Of course, not always easy to be patient)

      And the bottom line is that sales are ongoing, as others also say. So we can concentrate our energy on our work.

    I hate paypal but because i have no choice i have to open an account for my payments. I used to pay my VA through paypal and i know paypal always charged me for sending money to my VA. But what i hate is.... paypal also charged the recipient. I don't think this is fair!

      I thought it was just me. Thanks for posting Peggy. Mine are coming through slowly but surely now - so hopefully it's on its way to being fixed.

      As long as the money is able to get into the account and out, I'm good.

      When you're paying your VA, do you check the box for "goods" or "services"? I use "services" and they don't charge the recipient. At least that works for me.

    Yeah, I noticed over the last few days payment notifications have been rather delayed but they come through eventually just really late. That must mean so many people are buying things Paypal servers can't keep up with the queue!

        Yes, it seems that there is some issue with Paypal as it's taking some time for payment clearance as well. However, notifications are received after some time.

    Mine stopped as well

    In addition to that, I also stopped receiving my text messages when I type "bal" into my phone and send to paypal to get my balance for my debit card.

    I have noticed that some of the last few I have received have come hours after making the sale. I have always received an email from e-junkie the moment a PLR product sells, but I may not get the PayPal notification until 2-3 hours later.

      Same here. I'm getting the e-junkie notices immediately, but the PayPal emails are taking at least a few hours to arrive. But it not much of a worry at the moment, as the IPNs seem to be processed properly. Just a delay with the emails.

      That's what's happening here too. I do get the notification, but quite a while after the sale is made.

        I have not stopped receiving notifications from Pay Pal. However, I have the PayPal app on my I phone and I receive the number of transactions on the app display as it posts.

        I smile every time I look at my phone and see 1,2,3,20, etc.

        SO, if the email is a concern, get a smart phone and add the app.

    Haven't had this problem, but my PayPal debit card got declined on a measily $2.20 purchase today... not sure what's up, I definitely have just a tiny bit more than that in my account. lol

      Ah, so that's what's going on. I just got an email about a payment that actually arrived half a day ago. I guess it's a software glitch as Alan and Peggy said above.

      A more annoying problem is that they changed the notifications when I send invoices, and my clients don't recognize and/or can't find the invoices! Yikes!

      Has anyone had trouble with that (or should I start a new thread about that issue - or maybe there already is a thread?)

    Well that makes sense... all my clients have mentioned sending payment for work and I haven't been getting any emails. I was just working on their orders assuming something came up and they would send payment later but I just checked and it is all there! Makes me feel a lot better.

    Yes, I thought I was going a little mad because I was getting the WSO Pro emails but not the Paypal emails that usually follow it. They have been coming through at random times if at all. Nice to know it is an official problem.

    I personally think pay pals support leaves a bit to be desired, for one I can’t believe they don’t do support via email , I have read they rather you call them to resolve problems via there auto responder which didn’t give me any other option, which I thought was a bit crazy, one of the biggest ecommerce companies in the world won’t communicate with you via email, what is this bizarro world?

      I get paypal delay payments and I am a bit concern of the issues since I am very much worried about it. I am trying to explain to the people that I am paying and some of them also understand my reasons especially to those who also uses paypal like me.

      Yes, I finally got notification emails from sales yesterday.

      Otherwise, it's extremely annoying to have to keep logging into PayPal to see how my WSO is going or my JV's launch is going. I can't imagine how people who rely on those emails in order to ship physical product are handling it. Especially if they didn't know there was even a problem. It makes them look like they have poor customer service!

    Same here, got lots of WsoPro notices but only a few Paypal notices....I always expect glitches, and goof-ups with every service.....and I am not disappointed.

    I starting wondering what was going on yesterday morning, after not getting the normal notices.

    When I logged into RAP though, I could see the sales.

    Same with the other analytics tracking.

    Glad to see I wasn't loosing it.

    Oddly enough, the notices seem to be piling up and then they are delivered all at once...which can be a rush. Until you realize they are two days old.

    Hope those PayPal engineers can get this sorted out before the holiday weekend.

    As someone mentioned earlier, I am not having any trouble getting debit withdrawal notices or payment sent notices....just incoming sales notices.

    I gotta couple of products where I don't build a list and like to send a manual email with a download link in afterwards.

    Good kick up the ass to whack them clickbank or somewhere and let them deal with the service side.
