I did it!

Well, I finally did it. I took action and stopped reading and wishing and went out, registered my domain and a month of hosting. It just finished propagating, and the work on the site will begin the first day of July.

I'm just very excited as I have had a business plan for months and I finally took action.

Now just to design the site and logo, establish a social media presence, get some business cards, and establish some credibility. Then to get a few clients!

I just want to inspire a newbie like me out there to take action; I did, and you can too! I hope to be providing many new techniques and stories over the next few months, so wish me luck!

    My advice would be to just go for it! Never hold up your business while you are perfecting the finer details, because you'll never get started.

    Get it working and get it making money. Refine as you go

      Sign up for some forums relevant to your niche and see what questions people are asking. Then, ask those questions as your article titles and you will be well on your way to creating some great link bait.

    TIP: Get some testimonial videos from clients by offering the first 5 clients free services with all the bells and whistles in exchange for some video testimonials on their experiences with your services, etc.

    Then full steam ahead.

      Good job man, taking that first action is what really sets the dreamers apart from the achievers. If you think you're feeling good now, just wait until you make your first money!

      You're right, there will be ups and downs. Sometimes I'll have a slow week and it will drive me absolutely mad. Just don't let a less than stellar few days get you down, I've found they're usually followed by a period of intense activity and profit. Think of it like planting and harvesting, the planting is fun and so is the harvesting, it's the waiting for things to grow that can drive you crazy.

    1) Taking action every day on your project (harder than taking action initially, in my opinion!)
    2) Focusing on the 20% of your actions that give you 80% of your results (Pareto Principle)

      Way to go!! If I could offer a few pieces of advice moving forward:

      1) Don't give up! There will be times that you will feel it's not worth it. You just have to work through them.

      2) Don't worry about things being perfect!!! This is a big one. If you try and make everything perfect before putting it out you will never get anything done.

      3) Go out and be proactive!! Stay positive. Negative thinking will only be destructive to your success.

      It is exciting, although the people in my life don't think I can do it, I believe in myself and what I am capable of.

    I'm in the same boat. I have 2 blogs up since 2006, but basically just sit. I made 30.00 last month, but going to put a real effort soon. I bought 7 domains lately and plan to buy more and outsource most of my work because I have a job and take college classes. If I can make 30 I can make 3k. In the past I made 2-3k, but not from organic search traffic. I need to get to work and keep at it even with basically no money coming in. Thanks for the inspiration.
