My early success and what I did to get it. Great results in 2 months.

I just wanted to share a bit about my early success in IM with you guys. Now I am not new to this at all. I actually made some money being a poker website affiliate about ten years ago when I was 13, but somewhere along the way I kind of got out of it and focused more on web design and my studies at university and such. Well I am back in because I have a lot of fun doing it and I am pretty good at it. So I am not new, but I did enter into this thing with virtually no assets and limited funds (I've earned some income from design, but school can be expensive!) and with a lot to learn about the game today

While I have now branched out and begun a few more sites, I will tell you about the success I have had with this one authority site I have created. I went with an authority site because frankly I saw it as an asset. I feel like mini-sites can be good but you are spreading yourself very thin and are way more at the mercy of Google I think.

I created an affiliate site in a niche that I am a bonified expert in. I would recommend this because you can actually create awesome content that people will love and Google will love, but only to the extent that it is a buyers niche with lots of money to be made. Mine is. I in no way have to try to make sales, because everyone who comes to the site is definitely in the buyers mood. I just need them to click through and I have a massive EPC.

The site is in the fitness niche and I have gained my traffic through SEO. I developed an awesome method for creating a web 2.0 backlink pyramid that has a lot of meat to it. What I did was create one MASSIVELY deep spun article that I add to every day. It is about 100 pages long all of content in the health/fitness/weightloss/bodybuilding niche. It is set up so it spits out awesome blog posts of about 300-1500 words each and my backlinks are inserted at various different points. I use a submitter to create these properties then I take those URLs and add them to the file so the next one will randomly point at those and my home page, rinse and repeat and I have tons of highly juiced backlinks coming in daily. I set it up so the properties can have various different amounts of pages each, some just one page, some 20. And then I can blast the outer levels with tons of backlinks from lesser sites to add to the power of the whole thing. It's a pretty amazing system I have come up with. I bought a few WFH before coming to this. I used what I learned from the hires to develop the method.

So that has been how I have created traffic. But I have not monetized the site to its full extent. This is because I eventually see this site being MUCH more than an affiliate site and I am trying to do everything I can to gain loyal fans. I created a twitter account to go alongside the site which will reach 2,000 fans by day's end. No twiends or anything like that. Just strategic follows and gaining the attention of major brands to get lots of mentions and the such. Twitter honestly does not drive great traffic BUT I really think it has grown the brand of the site, given it a lot of legitimacy and allowed me to network like crazy with the big brands and I will leverage this to create some nice partnerships and advertising opportunities. I have just launched a Facebook page, with similar intentions. We will see how that goes.

It has been two months since I launched this site and I really think I have accomplished a lot in that time. So in conclusion here is what I would say are my main core competencies in the whole thing:

-Great design that gives it legitimacy and ease of use. Design is what I do so that was no issue

-Great knowledge of the industry. I am in a pretty competitive niche, but I look at other sites and I am simply confident that I am offering my visitors a value that maybe only a couple other sites in the world can match.

-Patience with monetization. I really feel that if I worried too much about that now I would lose opportunities for much more money later.

-Great SEO system that has yielded great results so far. It was some work to set up, that is for sure, but now I am on easy street backlinking consistently every day with only a few small steps.
