Horrific newbie question...

Hi folks,


I'm setting up a wso and you know what?????

MY skills may just be limited to writing and sales, because I don't know for the life of me, how to add an image to my thread...

It appears that I have to have the image hosted, is that correct???
How do I do this???


Answers on the back of a postcard would be appreciated.

    I'm sure you're not really a "horrific newbie".

    I think you can host images simply by opening a free account somewhere like "photobucket", who will give you "[IMG]" code links for your pictures, which you can use effectively to paste images in to a forum post.

    (The problem with doing it that way is that if ever photobucket's site is "down", your pictures won't then be visible in your WSO-post. There may also be easier/better ways that I don't know - let's see who else replies).

    Use the insert picture button in your post editor (TO INSERT THE IMG TAG) & you will need link to your image. Yes definitely you will need FREE hosting to host your image & your image won't be visible if the host site is down but everyone use it.

    On a personal front, you can PM me & I will gladly help you host your image on my company servers (if you prefer).
