Is this a good idea for an amazon authority/review site?
It seems that google is moving towards authority sites, so is this a viable plan for a new amazon authority/review site? Pick a general site subject for example 'electric guitars' which has a lot of competition and I'm not likely to rank highly for and also does not have much commercial intent. But there is a lot that can be written about the subject which will have no ads to please google and then try to rank for less competition keyword phrases like people searching for particular string brands, or guitar amplifiers etc. So I guess I don't expect to rank for my primary keyword but just work on secondary long tail keywords.
Is this a bad idea?
