What NOT to do when emailing your list..

I just received an email that was promoting an IM product, a cash 'system' of some sort.. yes we see them all day, every day, but something made me think that this particular person hadn't put much thought into his email...

I don't actually ever recall signing up for this persons list, and as you would expect, the email stated his name and then also his Aweber account address, but the funniest part is that his Aweber address contained the words "increasepenis" (of course I won't give away the full address)

Now tell me who is going to buy an IM product when they are receiving emails that contain such things? It doesn't exactly add strength to the copy does it? (not that there really was one :p)

So a few words of wisdom, the next time you want to actually try and sell an IM product and look professional about it, then avoid filling your lists inbox with genetialia

...I don't remember subscribing, but I'm sure I'll remember unsubscribing

LOL, yeah it's important to check and then double check everything you send out.

I'm sure his list will agree that he would have greater success if he double checked his emails

Haha. He should pay closer attention to his emails.

If you do not recognize the sender he could of obtained your email address through an ad swap.

Yeah that was likely the case, not a problem anyway, I'm off of the list.

I'm sure he just forgot to change the defaults when setting up his list, as obviously he probably has a penis enlargement list.

But yeah, doesn't look good, you're right.
