Site ranked in blog search only?

Hi,

My site is not ranking in the main G search but only the blog search. Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to solve it?

    Your site ranks in Google Blog search because Google has considered it to be a blog (you use Wordpress or a Blogger blog?) and thus has a higher ranking. But in the main search, your site will have competition from other sites as well (non-blogs such as article directories, video sites, wikis etc). Thus it will be a little difficult for your site to have a 1st page ranking in that area.

    The solution I suggest is to have a lot of backlinks and NO spamming. Your site needs to gain backlinks in a phased manner. You have to follow some of the simple SEO methods which are all over here in the Warrior Forum.

      Well the competition for that keyword was very very low and I have ranked for other low cometition keywords very quickly before. I think I should have been able to rank without any off site SEO. I use WP.
