A video on your sales page?

Hi,

I am about to release a new product - it's an accessory for a musical instrument that can be downloaded.

I have a video tutorial on how the product was made - is it worth putting this on the page with the product ? The info contained in the video is invaluable... i'm thinking i might try passivly selling the item by actually posting about the making of it and getting traffic to the page that way THEN say btw you can buy this product below.

Thoughts?

If the video is a great sales point for the product then I say you should use it on the sales page.

why not....but my opinion is just don't rely on it as your main offering content. make text your main offering content because normally people have to wait a bit longer to see a video. people might be fatigue seeing video squeeze page on IM niche, but I don't really know for non IM it might worths a try

Definitely use the video. I've split tested tons of sites with
and without video and video has always converted better.

      100% yes!!

Yeah, include the video if it is a great sales point.

Be sure that the video actually sells the benefits of the product not just the features. It would be really useful if it can say this is a unique feature that helps you [insert benefits that appeal]

      Hope that makes sense

You can create a EDITED version of that video, a short version - but don't share the whole thing. Create a teaser of whats inside your product. It works pretty well.

Obviously you'll need Benefits List, sales copy, and a strong call to action, etc etc

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Don't look to MAKE money - look to HELP people and you will make all the money you can ever want.

Definitely, it'll be helpful for better conversions. You must create the video as it rises the value of main product.

    Two ways to approach this;

    1. Use a video squeeze page to capture their email, then email drip until they purchase. Send then to a video sales page.

    2. Just use a video sales page with a timed buy button. you can also split test if additional sales copy will be of benefit. For some niches, the video is not enough.

Yes, video marketing is beneficial. I would recommend making the video as short as possible because the longer the video is, the longer it will take to load. If it takes too long loading, your customers will become disinterested and leave your website.
