Hi everybody,

I am just finished working on my ebook's cover.

I created it by Photoshop CS5.

How it looks like?

Good effort but it is really is worth paying a designer a few bucks to have it looking really professional.

Good job, that should definitely be good enough for offering a free give away and maybe even ok for a reasonably priced product with a good sales page.

Would also be good to improve on it though, and have it looking a bit sharper and more professional to help tempt the eyes of the readers more!

Did you use an existing eBook template script for this or create your own?

    • Not too bad. The big question you need to ask yourself is if you were looking to buy that book, would you buy it based on the cover? If yes, then you have your answer. If not, then you need to get a professional to design it.

I think it looks ok though.

I would pay a small amount to have one made up. You can even use Fiverr for ecovers. Or purchase a ready made template and put that to use.

I use 1clickcovers to get nice results. It works with Photoshop and saves a great amount of time. It has 3d action scripts to make it look nice. You can work in 2d and then convert to 3d.

This is one of my first ecovers. And I knew I had to improve:

Don't take it the wrong way.You can improve as well but as a designer I don't like that ecover at all. Just stating my opinion.

MA - only major thing wrong with the "Be Cool" cover is that the spine text is oriented incorrectly. Spine text should be readable when the book is lying on its back with the front cover up. I might have gone with a little bit 'lighter' look, but that's a matter of taste. Good job.

The title is good. It creates curiosity in the minds of women who want to keep their relationship on fire. Furthermore more, it is narrowed down to seven making a perception of simplicity. The cover itself however is ok. Although you cannot judge a book by its cover, I would advise that you invest a little and have it professionally done. It will make a big difference and attract more readers. If you need a place where you can get professional ecover for a low price, be sure to let me know. I'll be glad to point you in the right direction.

Looks like you have the mechanics nailed. Now you just need to work on being a little more creative in your layouts.

    Here's a freebie tip...

Go down to your local bookstore or even Amazon and study the covers on romance novels. Rarely will you find a cover without a man and a woman, usually in some sort of embrace.

The 'heart on fire' image might be a little too abstract for this market. I'd look in the stock photo sites for a semi-steamy photo of a couple and then follow that tutorial again.

    Good start!

Very nice effort! For a number of purposes it could work as is, but some improvement might help.

You can also launch right now and redesign or pay to have it redesigned shortly. Don't let something like that get in the way of your release.
