Are you a lazy newbie? My advice

Yesterday I visited a very famous internet marketing forum that I had abandoned. I love so much the Warrior forum that I prefer to directly come here. Anyhow, something happened and I remembered this forum.

There was a newbie there asking the famous question: 'How can I get started?'

I gave him a few answers and even a link, but he kept making me questions. After answering four questions I told him that I wouldn't answer more questions because I had something else to do in my life.

I'm using this example to give you a lesson. Are you a lazy newbie who is looking for a free mentor who will easily lead you to success and happiness online?

You have to study by yourself, and act. You have to act and see into practice how everything works.

Don't expect to find everything ready for you. If you know nothing, instead of making questions, you have to read a lot, and you have to work a lot, Doing many things. Internet marketing is not a theoretical topic.

Take care!

    Good points.

You need to do two things in order to progress: read and act. Do the second thing more than the first. Reading too much just gives you a headache, and there is so much conflicting advice out there that it is inevitably better to figure out for yourself what works and what doesn't.

you are right Tomewer, most lazy newbie prefer to ask more questions instead of searching for answers themselves, may be they are afraid of failure. Whatever the case may be, my advice to my fellow newbies is "learn to make research to discover the answer yourself"

Completely agree. Lazy newbies ask questions that they already know the answer. I used to be that lazy newbie. I only started making money when I stopped asking lots of questions.

Maybe I'm stupid but what I noticed is that 90% or more of people are afraid to fail so they are very very very careful. OK, I understand that. But aren't the losers by being careful and never failing or am I missing something?

Great, I failed to, and I noticed that people who are very very educated and respected in society they never fail then they think they are entitled to success.

I've asked the questions generally you get ignored. You've got to realise that the only way you'll succeed is by doing your own research. All the answers are in the forum. You've just got to look for them.

I think it's paralysis analysis that makes people freeze and not do anything.

Imagine if newbies had only 2-3 routes to getting started in IM. The lack of choice would force one to just get started.

Really it is easier said than done. Like telling a drug addict to get off drugs. The person has to discover for themselves really.

I don't agree it is quite true to compare a newbie mentally to a drug addict but it is an issue that will keep you from success. The reason newbies get stuck in this endless cycle of 'researching' and buying products is they are searching for that 'done for you' system that the so called gurus ingrain into our heads. We all know this system does not exist and never will it is simply marketing hype. Consistent efforts with almost any method can produce success.

The key is focus and ignoring all the new shiny products.

Questions from newbies aren't necessarily bad in my opinion. Now, if they are constantly pounding you with bull thats a problem. But, if they are on a forum like you said they may just be looking for some advice from someone who has made it before.

I don't think its right to ignore them completely. Give them all the help you have time to and make sure to emphasise each time that they go out and USE that advice. Isn't the whole point of a forum to help out others anyways?

Doing nothing, whether it's because you are afraid to fail or because you're lazy will both have the same end results ... nothing. You have to get off your butt and actually do something to achieve any results.

All the above is some good advice. The purpose of a mentor is to guide the newbie towards creating his or her own sustainable business model.

I’m not saying that newbies should not make questions. Of course they should ask for help.

Many times a few enlightening words will give them many clues.

    However, there is a limit.

They must basically work on their own, and learn how to do what they need into practice.

If they need a mentor, they must pay him/her for guidance instead of looking for free mentors who will answer All their questions in forums.

I also believe that it’s a big mistake to think that a paid mentor will teach them Everything.

There is a lot that each one must learn alone, depending on their niche/skills/intentions, etc.

Laziness and doing nothing will lead you no where. One has to take the Action to see some results.

All the information you need to be successful is available. And most of it is free. There are also many people who are happy to help (to a degree). But you have to share and contribute as well in some fashion.

But take advantage of the many resources and assistance available throughout the Net. Contribute your knowledge and any lessons you have learned which might benefit others. It will come back to help you in strides.

Some newbies have the problem of information overload, there is so much conflicting information out there on the internet, this can be confusing to some newbies, the only way to overcome this problem is to go into action, be focused and be consistent and never give up.

I totally agree and feel you pain. I get this as well some with a sense of entitlement that you owe them the answers.

I will give a caveat however. Since I think most newbies (not IM prodigies) would take at least 2 years to get up to speed making full time income (a lot to learn like web design, copy writing, SEO, Social Media, Infoproduct creation, Video editing etc.), if they have the money they should invest in a mentor to fast track them.

Some successful IM mentors will help you for a few hundred dollars. That money is the best money a newbie can spend IMHO. It could cut their learning curve in half.
