Write the resource box as if it is a continuation of your article, so that you don't lose readers.

Then customize your resource box to be related to the article, while accomplishing the goal you hope it to achieve.

Put your name at the end of the resource box, because readers are accustomed to using the author's name as a "stop word", the point in the process where they know they can stop reading.

Include anchor text links for the search engines, and include the plain text version of your url for self-protection, in case a publisher fails to get the HTML code for your resource box. You always want people to know how they can find you, even if the publisher does not use the HTML.

Don't overdo your credentials. People don't care what you have done, they only care what you can do for them.

Construct the verbiage to ensure that people realize what you can do for them, then provide a call-to-action, so that people will know what you want them to do.
