What's Your Amazon Conversion

Q2 2011 I had 17830 clicks with 920 items ordered for a conversion rate of 5%

This actually isn't the true conversion rate since it is counting multiple items from single orders, but it gives a decent idea nonetheless.

What's your conversion rate?

Divide orders by clicks.

General clicks/orders ratio I have been seeing lately is in the 1% range.

Typically 27 to 32% in most niches by driving targeted traffic and heavy preselling.

About 6-8% at the moment - I'm hoping it will be up to 10% coming up to Christmas.

That's because of targeted marketing, and by the time I'm done with getting them all juiced up through extensive preselling, they're ready to buy when they hit the order page.

I've been a pretty consistent 9-10% for about 6 months but its at a low price point. Volume seems decent but I need to scale things up. Mostly been doing things as a hobby but I now plan to kick things up a bit.

I am around 5% as well. No hard preselling just some talk about how great the product is in the article. Thats it.

I like to give my readers options ( that of course all make me money )

I assume these are just the conversion rates of people who click over to amazon. I can't seem to find what a average conversion rate from site clicks to amazon is though.

This would be an important metric for goal setting/planning...how many sites with how many visitors do I need to make X amount of $.

    Any info appreciated.

An average conversion rate would not be helpful, because we have already seen wide variances just in this thread alone. Conversion rate means the ratio of sales over click-throughs for all of your websites. Each conversion can be a sale with commission ranging from a few cents to tens of thousands of dollars. So a better metric would be to measure how many visitors it takes to earn a set income based on product offering and conversion rate. This can only be answered by testing and measuring it yourself.

Hey Andrew how many visitors did it take you to get the 17,830 clicks over to amazon?

27% as well for one niche. You can get much higher conversion rates than that though.

123121- that's for people that are on amazon right? Do you have a rate for how many people who visit your site go to amazon.
