Check out what just came to my email

"Hi, derrickpiz.

Bill Crosby (BillCrosby) is now following your updates on Twitter.

Check out Bill Crosby's profile here:

In all seriousness, how many of you have used twitter in your marketing efforts, I have used it to give away a few free digital products I made and a few other things.

It really isn't popular in most niches so if you do not have items that are useful to the IM crowd it is best as just a way to stay connected with "online" friends.

I'd be even more impressed if Bill Cosby were following you on Twitter

I use Twitter to tweet my blog posts and tweet about my forthcoming IM book

I want Jessica Alba to follow me. Twitter is fine, but she can follow me offline as well. I can't believe Frank Kern passed up a chance to meet her.

I'm with you, Scott. I followed Jessica Alba for quite a while. Then the restraining order came...

I just had _EbenPagan_ follow me on twitter lol.

When I clicked on the profile he was following 1,276 people with just 2 or 3 followers.

He had one update (done less than hour ago) pitching an affiliate program that he said Willie Crawford showed him.

    Twitter nuked him shortly.

These twitter spam incidents seem to be increasing, particularly the ones using variations of big names etc.

Yeah, I've been getting them from Derek_Gehl, DerekGehl_, Dere_kGehl, and a zillion other variations the past few days, for what sounds like the same program you're referring to. Lame.
