How Would You Monetize a Fan Page?

I've got a 24 hour old, targeted, responsive Facebook fan page... just to show how responsive they are.. I posted a question to them about their passion and I had 61 responses in 13 minutes.

I've seen some say it's against Facebook TOS to post affiliate links so any idea how you can monetize such a large passionate group of people?

Or do people ever sell fan pages?

I see some potential, but it's pretty blurry right now!

Hmm..kind of depends on the niche, but you could post a link to your review site that is reviewing an affiliate product..not sure if that's against Facebook TOS.

I don't have a formula for you, but Ican tell you there are lots of businesses with fan pages, so commerce is not in general prohibited, I assume you just haveto move them off site to your own sales page site.

Someone else here reported getting Amazon links accepted when others, (clickbank had an instant like aff link scheme that generates banned links.)

I had a glance last night at one CB product Facebook Cash 2.0 that seemed pretty comprehensive for like $39, has some 19 sections of videos and iFrame templates.

The 30 page "Facbook CPA Exploitation" booklet shows one method's steps:
Step 1. Setup a Fan Page...
    Step 2. Take it viral!(20,000+ Like‟s)
Step 3. Then use status updates to promote your CPA offer to your viral fan page.

  • I forgot to add, in less than 24 hours it's up to about 2,000 fans already...so not a HUGE amount of fans, but enough to be impressed with..considering they are all super targeted.

sometimes it's hard to find out the best way to get people to buy something.

You are best to set up a quick blog and start posting content on that blog. Then you post a link to that blog post on to the fan page so people click over to your blog to view the content. On your blog you can promote whatever products you want. It also gives you a chance to try and capture their email addresses and start building a list.

I like this alot.. then I don't have to directly promote on the Facebook page... that's awesome.

I should build an authority site on this niche anyways.

Anyone had any success selling either leads or the Admin rights to larger Facebook fan pages?

Also, check out networked blogs. They link to facebook, so anytime you add to your blog, even one or two words, it shows up on your fanpage.

The rise in the number of fans is incredible. What type of niche are you targeting?

Depending on type of niche or fan page it is... there are various ways to run it. Yes having a blog that`s integrated can definitely be a plus and a weight off. Anything that can get them engaged and off the fan page is a plus.

You can set up a YouTube channel that has videos related to your niche. Every time you share a video make sure it`s super engaging and cool but the trick will be to have a part 1,2,3....you are only sharing part 1 each time you post on the fan page. So obviously they will have to go to the channel to watch the rest. Have a call to action telling them to subscribe. From there you can have more monetized videos that they will run into while trying to find the other parts.

Lets say your fan page is about deep salt water fishing and you know the fans are crazy about it, because of the conversations that`s taking place. You go off and make a super cool video on how to store fish when deep salt water fishing part 1. I can bet that if the video is cool enough they will want to watch part 2 and they will probably subscribe to your channel. So when the newest fishing rod of the century comes out and you are the first to know about it... you already have them as subscribers to you channel, for them to get the update on your new review video with your affiliate info tied to it.

Fan pages are just like list have to build that trust. May or may not take time, depends.

You can tweak this but the general concept is there...hope I helped, good luck with this and congratulations on your large fan base.

I have done something very similar in a business page, and a CPA product niche. I link from the facebook page to a squeeze page - 6000 followers right now - advertise on Facebook for traffic to your page - the more folowers the more conversions! (more trust)
