What Did You Accomplish This Year that You Are Thankful For?

In the spirit of my 2009 New Year's Resolutions thread, I thought I'd create a new post to remember some of the things you're thankful for accomplishing in 2008. What did you do or learn this year that surprised you or made you stronger?

My list:
  • I learned that being close to my family is the best gift I could ever have. It took a 2,000 mile move to teach me that.
  • I learned that not every opportunity, no matter how wonderful it sounds, is worth jumping at. It took a 2,000 mile move to teach me that, too.
  • The silver lining on that cloud is that I got to see some of the country's most beautiful sights along the way. If you are ever given the chance to take a cross-country road trip (preferably NOT with a Penske truck in tow), do it. You may never get another chance.
  • I got my Master's Degree and am going to have a published book on Amazon.com! You all get first notifications when it goes live
What about you? What were your accomplishments this year? What are you proud of?

LOVE this thread! Thanks for starting it!

    Things I am thankful for:
    • I found this wonderful forum.
    • I have learned how to make a FT income online.
    • I have read several books that have completely changed my mindset.
There are more, I am sure....I will add more when I think of them.

    Not very much

I almost finished school with all A's and B's, but I failed my last two classes *bummer*

And I am thankful that I will have a chance to make accomplishments in 2009

Oh drats, can somebody move this to the Off Topic Forum? Having more than two tabs open for the Warrior forum will fry my brain

TheStar - Hey, concentrate on the fact that you finished with all A's and B's and not the two classes you didn't. I heard you are taking online classes. I cannot imagine how difficult that would be. Call me old fashioned but I've got to be IN a classroom.

Actually proved to myself that making money online is possible, created several streams of income, started a still-growing personal brand, but most of all I ran a half-marathon, a bunch of 10k's, and finally ran a triathlon.

My biggest thing, because of what it will mean to me and my daughter, is that I know now how to make money online! So I'm hugely thankful for that.

Plus I got past some pretty heavy personal stuff - which for me is huge!

And as I type, the new year is just under 2hrs away and I'm already sipping my champagne!

    My lessons learned/accomplishments made

    1. Built a list and successfully marketed to it.

    2. Met some of the biggest IM gurus online.

    3. Started working at Disney World.

    4. Graduated with my B.S in Finance (is it ironic that B.S is the same as bullshit??? )

    5. Live in sunny Florida with no cold winter (took me 15 years to get back to warmth in the winter).

    6. Took me til Dec 28 to realize this...but I am living life day to day and loving every little second of it. I'm obsessed with being alive and living. For the first time in my life I am happy.

I wish everyone the best in the future and let's make 2009 the year to get ahead and succeed

    Much love Warriors,

    Brad Spencer

What were your accomplishments this year? What are you proud of?
2008 was a year that had a lot of "first's" for me.

This is not something that I'm necessarily "proud" of, but this year was my first full year without my mother and I think she would be proud of me that I was able to make attempts to move forward while still honoring her. I will be thinking about her tonight was a new year starts.

This was also the first year I consistently made money online. While I have been doing it for nine years, it's been on and off, hit or miss. This year was the first time I made money each month and it also increased every month.

I'm also very proud of the adoption forum that I run and we just celebrated our 6th year anniversary. That place is a labor of love and it's helped, and continues to help, a lot of people who want to adopt or have adopted.

I continue to be proud of my two daughters (ages 10 & 13). They're such special people and have wonderful spirits. They enrich my lives by just being themselves. They shine from the inside out.

As bad as it may sound, I'm proud that I no longer allow my son's (16) emotional and physiological issues to dictate my life. I didn't cause them and I will no longer be the one who carries the weight of them.

As far as IM accomplishments: I completed my first ebook and just today on the last day of the year converted it into a PDF.

Wow, you all have so much to be proud and thankful for!

Blfred - congratulations on beating cancer! With a diagnosis like that I don't think many of us would want to wake up to another day - but you're living proof to treasure every moment we have

no I have not even though I use to live a lot closer to it in MN, its not really my style of an event. From what I've seen and read it appears to be more of a getting drunk, going slow in crowded streets and making bad decissions event.

I've discovered a lot of weaknesses, areas that need improvement, that rome still won't be built in a day and that not only is all of that okay, but it's okay to be thankful for all of that.

The smile on my mom's face (and little tears in her eyes) when I presented her a $1000 check on her birthday.

My biggest achievement of 2008, and all the years before that :-)

I'm most grateful for the birth of my second daughter - healthy baby, healthy mommy, and I was there to welcome her into the world.

I'm also grateful that my marketing/publishing business continues to grow every year (although not as fast as I would like sometimes!) I've made some great contacts this past year and 2009 looks very promising.

Becoming a DAD was the biggest moment of happiness.
My daughter was born on 08-08-2008.

With her came luck and fortune.
I'm sure 2009 will be even better!

    Good Luck to all.
