Windows software for screen capture and documentation

Hi guys I'm not really sure where to post this but I have been using Camtasia and Jing on the PC to do screencasts and I am finding them ok but I was thinking I want to produce a Word Document with screenshots and text as well as the video file when I do my next product.

I have heard screensteps is good for it but I'm wondering if there is a product that can actually capture the video as well as product Images of each of the main pages in the video so you can easily add the text in Word. I'm not sure if this is asking too much of an application?

Otherwise I guess I do some videos in Camtasia then undo all of my work and then do it again in screensteps.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure that I have totally grasped what you need to do

We do training videos all of the time and shoot them in Camtasia.

We then playback the video once it's produced and take any screenshots we need and number them in the order that they will appear in the PDF. Then we just create the document and insert the images as required.

    It does not take long

That Screensteps looks quite good at semi automating this as well.

    Good luck

Hi Lynne thanks, so just doing a print screen of the published Camtasia file right? I was just sort of hoping there would be some way to automatically export all screenshots captured into say a Word document and then just go in and remove anything yo don't need. But maybe that's asking a bit much.

I just had a play around with screen steps, it looks pretty good I'm not totally sure it's that much better than just doing screenshots but I guess if you were doing it a lot it looks like it would be pretty quick.
