Be aware of your warrior forum posts!

If you provide too much value or gain too much traffic to it, your post can get moved to a topic where it basically won't be seen!

I have made a few posts that have either NEVER showed up after being held in moderation, or after it received lots of traffic and replies, it got moved to a basically hidden topic where it died.

I PAID to become a member of this forum! They didn't mind at all taking my money! And so when I post something in the PROPER category and it never shows up after being held in moderation that pisses me off!

And I don't even get an explanation! AT ALL! Not a PM, not an email, NOTHING!

EXAMPLE:

Yesterday I made a post where I was giving away 50 brand new PLR ebooks for 2011! No optin at all! The direct download to the zip file was in the actual post! And other posts in the same damn section were giving away the same types of products. Ebooks!

My post never showed up in the topic! And no one ever sent me a message to tell me why! And I made another post in the same thread accusing them of discrimination just like I AM IN THIS POST!

We will see how long it takes for them to delete it! It doesn't matter! I am taking a screenshot of this post after it is published! So if they delete this post, I'll be making a blog post about this forum with proof that they do in fact discriminate!

  • To be precise, the post I am most aggravated about was yesterday morning in the War Room! But other posts have been moved or deleted just because they wanted to. No explanation. No nothing!
  • Well, nobody paid anything to become member of this forum. The membership is free.

    Optionally, you can pay for becoming a War Room member. However, I don't think it gives you any other privileges than accessing the content inside that private forum.

  • Yesterday was a holiday after all. Perhaps they are a bit behind? I sometimes see posts dissapear for no real reason.. but they have the right to randomly delete posts even if they are just bored.. its their forum. Don't worry about it.

      As has been mentioned, some threads require approval before they're posted. That is not instantaneous. The surest way to make certain they're not approved, by the way, is to start threads accusing people of malice because your posts haven't been approved yet.

      You're on the fast track to a bad rep, dude.

  • Sometimes it takes days. My post in the contest section took around 5 days. They get a lot of posts they have to sort through. If you look in the stickies in the War Room people are saying it often takes upwards of a week for their threads to get approved.

    • If this thread is any indication of the value of your other threads then I know why they were deleted. I pay over $3000 a month to advertise here and even then some of my threads get deleted. But I certainly would NEVER whine about it on the open forum. You do realize the folks you are hoping to sell to one day are reading this thread too right?

    • I guess I'm not understanding your complaint. You made a post in the War Room and it simply hasn't been approved yet? I didn't see anything that stated there was instant approval in there.

      I'm not really sure what the snarky responses are for though. After all this is a BUSINESS forum.

  • The War Room doesn't approve every thread. Some get approved, some don't. If everything got approved automatically, it would just end up as another place that harvested nothing more than digital junk.

    There are a lot of gems in there that we would never see or know about if it was a complete free-for-all. I, for one, think it's for the best. The War Room was intended to help other Warriors out and "give back", not necessarily to really promote anything hardcore. That's what your signature and WSO section is for.

    The War Room membership is for two things:

    - Access to the forum itself
    - To give you the ability to publish a WSO

    There's no brainwashing going on over here. IMO, maybe you're overreacting a little much? If you're that upset, maybe you should consider grabbing a refund and jetsetting somewhere else. I'm sure Allen wouldn't mind :rolleyes:

    • If we were averse to hearing your comments, we'd have deleted the thread. That's what I normally do when someone starts one of these. I leave one occasionally to remind people of why those things happen. You got lucky that someone deleted my most recent example.

      You've got a number of very senior members telling you the truth. They know from experience, where you simply have expectations. But I guess expectations mean sense, and experience implies cult status in your world?

      You have an opinion and are expressing it, the problem is, you decided to start off whinging like a baby as though your civil rights had been violated, then as soon as people didn't actually run along and agree with you, you made posts like the one I've highlighted.

    • I initially started this thread to hear if anyone else was having the problem and it turned into a lynch mob against me! Everyone in the USA has the freedom of speech, but apparently in the Warrior forum people are so scared to be real and honest that it absolutely makes me sick. But I agree with you. I should have just contacted support instead of waking up the children of the corn!

    • This is not good advice. The Help Desk is extremely busy with real problems, and in most cases he wasn't the one who deleted the thread, he has no idea who did delete the thread, and he doesn't have time to contact each mod individually to try and find out who deleted the thread and why.

      It's been explained over and over and over in various threads why the mods cannot hold everyone's hand and explain why threads and posts get deleted. This place is way too big and too busy.

    • Brian,He seemed to miss the part where Matt mentioned spending $3000 a month here for advertising and still being subject to the same rules as others. He seems to think his $37 trumps those tens of thousands of dollars in ad revenues.

      Some day, people will figure out that the rules are independent of what one spends here.

  • Actually, if you POST YOUR THREAD IN THE WRONG SECTION, they will either move it or delete it at their discretion because it is YOUR JOB as a member of this forum to POST IN THE RIGHT SECTION.

    We have a special place here for free ebooks. Yes, I know almost nobody goes there. Do you know why? Because NOBODY WANTS FREE EBOOKS.

    Shoving stuff where more people will see it without regard for whether they WANT to see it is basically what "spam" means.

We welcome intelligent disagreement, to the point of encouraging it. What we don't welcome is trolling, which is something you appear not to grok. Or breaking rules you've been here more than long enough to know and understand, which you've done in several; ways in this thread. First by starting it at all, and then by attacking the other members as cult-like followers for thinking differently than you.

      I find it fascinating to watch people use that approach, by the way. If you agree with me, you're independent. If you agree with others, you're a sheep.     People privided reasonable explanations as to why the issue you were experiencing was happening

    You followed up those explanations with more allgeations w/o offering any substantive proff, then complain that the thread is stuck in a loop.

  • I'm not quite sure what you are so mad about. You keep on going after someone has pointed out what you have done wrong. Just like in any other community, there are RULES that you have to follow. Now from the looks of this thread, you don't like listening to what anyone has to say unless they particularly agree with you. If you don't like the way this community is ran, leave.   • Obviously I don't agree with what he's doing and how he handled the situation here.

    As unprofessional as it is, looking through his posts (besides this thread) it seems out of character.

    Maybe he's just having a bad day, alright he shouldn't take it out on the WF, but we don't really know what else is happening in the kids life and lashing out at us "virtual" people might be the least destructive action he can take right now.

    We all make mistakes, the important thing is to learn from them, and looking at the posts he's made over the last few months, I would say it's just that - a mistake which he will regret.

    It's really simple! I say what's on my mind. It may come across as too harsh or abrasive or whatever! The bottom line is - I still stand behind the topic and the principle behind my belief! This isn't about a single post that got moved or deleted or whatever at this point! This entire thread shows that all of you assemble here every single day posting the same post as the day before just re-written!

    I'm not saying you do it on purpose! I'm just saying that theres only so many ways you can write:

    "make quality posts"
    "get 47 katrillion backlinks to beat the google Panda or you'll fail"
    "concentrate on SEO every day and eat sleep and breathe it or you'll die"!

    It's the same redundant ritual every single day and all of you are buying into it like its some kind of miracle pill or something.

    The people that run this forum make a ton of money praying that you'll keep worshipping them day after day after day! And that's fine! I learned my lesson on WSO's and paying for advertising. I come here to learn something real that someone wants to share! But after you bust it all down to the brass tacks, it's nothing more than a perpetual engine of repeated SEO & internet marketing mumbo jumbo every single day, all day long. Go read some threads! I've seen less brown nosing during Presidential elections.

    The bottom line is:

    I don't really care anymore, and you've wasted your entire afternoon on me = I win

    So go write a post about article writing or google analytics or something! I'm going out for a drink or 9!

  • Don't feel bad man the war room is not a forum where you can just post anything there. IT MUST HAVE SOME GOOD VALUE. If it didn't get posted then its either still in moderation or it was not a good addition to the forum. Just try again.

    • For a while it seemed like I wasn't going to be able to read these posts fast enough to ever get to the end.... Now that I'm here.... I think I'll declare success and go to bed.
  • In 2006 I joined the forum and was promptly banned for getting into a defensive shouting match that I wouldn't let go. I still to this day know I was correct in the way I handled the first negative responder. But after that everyone and his brother jumped into it and I refused to back down and the rest was history. Long story short is I stayed away from the forum for another four years after that. The fact we're doing $50k a month now at the forum tells me that I lost a boat load of cash by staying away for those four years. So understand there is no way you are going to get the last word in here. If you persist you may end up costing yourself some serious cash like I did.
