My first "new format" "like a boss" video!!

Feedback is appreciated!

So far I've only done "bookmark & share" through OnlyWire.com Tomorrow I'm going to embed it on my blog and do more marketing.

I have a few more videos lined up to redo and a couple to create from scratch just using PowerPoint.

Excellent, and congrats for taking action! Some notes.
    * The Description links to General Transcription & Home Business Information from Musselman's Online Publishing which doesn't seem to relate to wedding invitations. Wouldn't it be better if it linked to Bookmark Wedding Favors and Custom Laminated Bookmarks for All Occasions ?
    * Suggest you put all the text you use in the presentation (ideally the spoken part too) in the Description, which is of nearly unlimited length.
    * Suggest you move the link to Bookmark Wedding Favors and Custom Laminated Bookmarks for All Occasions or whatever to the very top, and include a call to action in the description, along the lines of: Click to get your free printable wedding bookmarks and tons of awesome ideas for wedding favors in every price range!
    * Be good to watermark the video with your URL
    * Take full advantage of tags, adding things like
"wedding favors" "party favors" "custom laminated bookmarks" "wedding bookmarks"
(Use the quotes to connect multiple word keyphrases, a little-known YouTube hack)

BTW, I think the "Like a Boss" branding is brilliant and I wish I'd thought of it myself. Start adding it to your video titles, tags, etc.

Good job! You will be successful soon,
if you aren't already successful now.

I feel you need a voiceover talking people through the powerpoint slides at the beginning of the video. I'm thinking the way it is now a lot of people would click away after the first slide or two. Having people read and be spoken to at the same time also helps to better engrave your message in their brain.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I am getting married next year, so this video is actually of great help to me.

    Cheers!

nice to see your using video..

    I agree with Wiir

for me there is too much text at the top, it makes people work hard to follow it, whereas you want to grab peoples attention and in the first 10 secs or they will leave.

Make it easy for them to stay, by you reading out word for word the text, doing both together reinforces the message. Right now some of the text isn't held long enough for people to read on their own (especially slower readers) but with your voice it won't be a problem.

I would actually go as far as to remove those first few text slides. They are not needed. I think you will engage your users much faster if you get straight into the actual demo video.

@Tom... Thanks! I'll be applying all of your suggestions. I didn't realize I could make the description that long! And a big thanks about the link going to my other website. That's a horrible boo-boo!

And the "like a boss" isn't mine; that's from Andy Jenkins "Like a Boss" video tutorials, which is what prompted me to get moving on video. Like A Boss | Andy Jenkins Blog | Irreverence Rebellion and interweb marketing

@WillR and julesw... I believe you're right on this point and I'll be going back and doing some editing on this one to add the voice over on the starter slides. I'll think about removing a couple of the starter slides too.

Now a question, after I edit this video, can I simply replace it on YouTube or will it be yet another brand new video? I haven't removed the original of this video that I did two years ago because the link is embedded in my former website and I don't want to disturb that site for current owner. (see below...)

      Thanks everyone for the feedback!!

I'll have to leave this video alone but will definitely take all of your suggestions on my next video. Yeah well, I've seen some pretty darn crappy videos get tons of views and my original video for assembling invitations has almost 10K views without even being promoted!

I'll get the hang of this... LOL
