Is Ustream Marketing Friendly? + Video Options

Hey Warriors!

Since YouTube gave me the friendly boot (boo hoo), I am considering re-using my old Ustream channel. I had originally just used it for webinars. I deleted much of what I had there.

But is it marketing friendly?

Do I need to be looking over my shoulders if I say the words "make money?"

I also want to know if we have to use web cams there. Mine sucks. I'd prefer to use my Flip but am not sure if or how I can do that on Ustream. Can't upload stuff I don't think?

I'm willing to invest in a kick ass web cam (I have Logitech right now, which is grainy) AND pay the $99/month to be ad free if you guys tell me they're marketing friendly and okay to invest my time and money in to.

Tiff

I've seen Joel Comm make commercial videos on Ustream, but I haven't tried them myself.

I usually use Viddler. Their quality is much higher than YouTube's, and you can have your logo in the player. It's free to use for non-commercial use, but if you want to recommend a product, etc., you have to pick their business services.

      Tiffany - Ustream rocks...

You can even use your mobile phone record a live streaming show and save it for replay.

Info about mobile app and live streaming: App Store - Ustream

Don't bother with the no-ads - that is not worth it...

Do go for their Ustream Producer for one time $200 but use it for free until you get a hang of it... Ustream Producer: Download the free video streaming desktop application. Broadcast from PC, Mac. Transitions, multiple cameras, picture in picture, HD, H.264

Guy's webinars rock, perpetual webinars rock, event marketing rocks, add in the extra advantages of live stream with replay, the ability to share your desktop, skype video chats, video's on your computer, as well as stream multiple camera's.

Its as close to a live event possible online... Howie Schwartz made a killing doing it... and you will be hearing more and more about web casting vs webinars.

My opinion - good for a cup of coffee

I want to stream a video of a Powerpoint presentation from my computer desktop followed by a live Question and Answer session.

When the video of the Powerpoint presentation ends I'll open up my webinar to a live question and answer session.

          Here are my questions please...

          1) Can I do that with Ustream, Livestream, Vokle, or something similar?

          2) How will the quality of the audio and video be for my attendee's?

          3) Can I make it so that only I can see the questions my attendee's are asking me?

          Thanks

          Steve
