Google+ anyone?

I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on for the new Google Plus. From everything I've read so far, it seems that Google doesn't have a foot hold yet as the new social media go to place, but looks promising. Does anyone know if they plan on doing ads outside of adsense/adwords and what could it be used for as marketing one's products? I have gotten an invite but they aren't letting me... yet. I'm excited to see what's possible.

    Google+ is wide open right now. You better get over to the site right now before they close it again. You don't need an invite.

    I have been wondering the same thing. I am sure people will be marketing on it as they do on Facebook.

    No doubt we will soon be seeing a rush of products explaining how to do it.

        They keep closing the invites on and off - but you should get in. Not sure if it's 'wide open' since I'm signed in.

        My thoughts are it's going to be very good but I reserve judgement on how good until all the features are rolled out.

        I'm enjoying it and have been on there way more than FB in the last few days and hooked up with some very interesting people. It has potential for me personally.

    It's okay...not as clean as FB for me. I don't like too many areas - having to separate family, friends, marketers, etc is hmmm I don't know. Jury's out.

      Tiffany...you don't like the circles? The ability to cleanly separate everyone into distinct groups seems to be the main thing that all of my fb friends that are migrating are excited about. I kind of like it myself because FB lists just don't seem to do what they are supposed to and it seems like google got it right with circles.

        No I have a business account and a personal account on FB. I know, against rules. But I don't like having to alternate circles. I want to log in, see my wall, scroll, participate, and leave. lol

          You know, I had been thinking that over...about having a business account. How would FB ever catch on if you are on the up and up anyway? Obviously there are thousands/millions of households with numerous accounts on one IP address.

          Have you had the two separate accounts for a while? I've seen others with different accounts and they seem to have had no troubles, so maybe I will take that route.

          One thing of note that I did not like is that I was logged out of all google accounts and it still saved my search history. Not that I was searching for anything devious, but it shows how much google is really keeping track of us, even when not logged in.

            Ok, I got in. I like it so far. The only problem I've had at this point is a person showing up in my circles that I blocked. It's not much right now but it looks like it has a lot of room to grow. I'm excited!

            Also, if anyone needs an invite let me know!

      I've got my invite but haven't gotten in. I plan on using FB strictly for family and friends and goofball stuff. I am looking forward to checking it out. Perhaps in a week or so we can get a tips and tricks thread going.
