How To Make A Hypnotic Link That Everybody Wants To Click

Here's a simple trick on how to blindfold your prospects and force them to click your affiliate link even they don't want to be sold.

Are you ready?

Using the free PrettyLink plugin you can cloak your affiliate link with almost any extension like .EXE, .RAR, .ZIP, .MPEG4 etc.

Aha! So, your most hated loooooonnngggg affiliate link that looks like www.yourdomain.com?=hjh-aff-100 you can now transform to something like

www.yournicedomain.com/product.ZIP

Make sure you put a nice call to action that will blend on your chosen extension. On the above case, the best call to action you can put there is something like :

DOWNLOAD IT NOW!
ww.yournicedomain.com/product.ZIP

or

Download and Watch The Video!
ww.yournicedomain.com/product.MPEG4

Just be creative... Try it...

I've seen people doing this on review sites, and it seems like a good idea at first, but when I started to think about it, I'm not so sure it would be effective.

This is because I think if you give someone a "download link" to a product they want, they're going to psychologically think they are getting it for free now, so they will be disappointed that it isn't an actual download. Then the person could be frustrated and start looking for places to download the product free, because they had in their mind that they could get it free before.

Just my thoughts. Anyone else had any experience with doing this on their review sites?

The whole idea is to get people on the page that your promoting. If the product you are promoting is compelling then there's a fat chance that people will jump on it. And even they don't buy the first time they clicked the link at least you already planted something on their machine.

I think that if somebody tried to trick me like that and I wanted the product I would clear my cookies and go and buy through somebody elses affiliate link. Just don't think that it's right trying to trick people into buying.

I don't want to deceive people.

I would be furious, if I followed such a link only to find out that it let to an affiliate site. If the site looked compelling and I wanted to buy, I would make sure to clear any cookies first so that I didn't use the affiliate link.

    Yeah, I'm a mean bitch ;-)
