Fixing Crawl Errors Found in Google Webmaster Tools
Hello everyone,
A few days ago I decided to take a closer look at one of my sites (via Google Webmaster Tools). I was a little surprised to find seven crawl errors (404 Not Found).
Can someone please explain to me the best way to fix these errors? Would a 301 redirect WordPress plugin do the trick? And if so, what plugin do you recommend?
I was also wondering how long it usually takes Google to detect & remove these errors from Google Webmaster Tools?
Do you think these crawl errors could have a negative impact on my rankings.
I also forgot to mention that these 404 errors are mostly being generated by non-existent categories/tags that I recently removed.
