I have an eBook that will explain it all to you...lol

Making an eBook is simple. You simply pour your content onto a Word document, and convert it to a .PDF.

It's the 'selling' part that is difficult.

You can utilize articles to drive traffic to a WSO page you start to sell it.

I'm not sure about backlinking- I mean I'm sure you can I just don't know what quality those backlinks will be. If you sell the Ebook, you can (and should) create a free version- first chapter or something. Then upload that free version to Ebook directory sites- in the description you could include your URL.

Google also indexes PDF's, not sure how links work within PDF's though (if they count as backlinks).

For making the Ebook, I like to check out forums and yahoo questions to see what solutions people are looking for. I also check out article directories to see which articles within that niche are drawing the most attention.

I then look at what similar Ebooks are on the market if any. I'll take a look at their Table of Contents for ideas (without copying of course).

Do some brainstorming, decide what your Ebook will teach, and write your Table of Contents. Then treat each chapter like a really long top quality article. Writing an Ebook is actually really simple this way and it doesn't take as long as it would if you were just free-writing it.

Once you're ready to sell it, set up your landing and thank-you page, and try some traffic methods including

Distribute the free version of your Ebook- which should include the link to the full version. Give this away using your signature in related forums as well as uploading to free Ebook directories.
Promote with your Twitter, Facebook, and other social media accounts.
Promote with article and video marketing.
Guest post on blogs- and set up a special landing page just for that blog's readers (which includes a discount).
Use paid methods if you can! They're quicker in generating traffic assuming you don't have a list and huge following.

Use analytics, find what works and shift all of your focus to that. Ditch the rest!

The content within the ebook itself will not get indexed in Google, so there will not be a back link that will contribute to the SEO of your site.

You certainly can (and should) place a link to your site within the ebook, namely on the title page under your author name. This will allow your ebook readers to visit your site for more info when they have finished the ebook.

Yep the easiest and best way to make an eBook is through Microsoft Word > PDF file. Landing page is a must!!

Just type up your content on WORD, get it converted to PDF Format and Offer it as a FREE Ebook to build your list first, then create a better product with feedback from what your customers want. Then you can sell to your customers exactly what they are looking for, offer them a bonus or discount and ask for a feedback when releasing a WSO. Selling without much social proof is difficult on Warrior Forum.

Don't forget the ebook graphic.

When someone comes to your sales page or squeeze page, it doesn't matter if your ebook itself is a masterpiece of brilliant writing that can change the world and make everyone rich instantly....

All the potential customer has is your ebook cover graphic to gauge the quality of your ebook.

People really do judge a book by it's cover.

One easy thing to do is to grab some PLR product, switch it up a bit, add some pages of your own writing to it and slap on a new ebook cover and BAM, you have a brand new marketable product.
