What would you change to make this work?

I have never done affiliate marketing but out of pure ignorance created a product that is sold by affiliates. I had some business partners that are affiliates build the lead capture page, sales page, and set everything up on ClickBank.

Their lives got complicated and they handed everything back to me and referred me to Warrior Forums. So here I am with a product in a good niche market (couponing) and I am reading like crazy but getting conflicting opinions.

My goal is to attract affiliates but I think that my lead capture page is putting affiliates off. I have also had one affiliate not like the sales page and want to route past it.

That being said would you....

Remove the lead capture page?
Add a popup lead capture to the sales page?
Toss the lead capture out completely?
Shorten the sales page?

Lead capture page - smartcouponingsystem (dot) com
Sales page - smartcouponingsystem (dot) com/smartcoupon.php

I am open and would really appreciate any feedback on how I can make this work. I am learning so much from reading and I have made HUGE progress since I started reading on WF. Thanks for the help!

I would avoid the pop up, but that's not based on any sort of facts or research. That's just pure opinion. Every time I have to deal with a pop up, the resentment makes me leave immediately.

I would have to see the page in order to know what may be putting them off. Just as a basic word of advice, people will be more likely to read the content if you shorten your paragraphs to 2-3 lines. It's not as intimidating, and just reads easier.

There may be other things you can do without ditching the page altogether. However, I wouldn't know until I had taken a look.

    Good luck!

      hi lovinmylife,

congratulations on the start on your internet marketing career!

i just took a look at your lead capture page and realised that the videos could actually distract the reader from entering his details. You might want to consider a simpler page with just words or perhaps a picture.

your sales page is good. You may want to put the videos on autoplay to capture attention though. and you might want to include a link for affiliates to find out more information.

        Thanks!

The "video" on the lead capture page is really a photo. When you try to watch the video a box pops up and tells you to enter your information to watch the video.

My conversion rate is pretty good on the sales page. I will start that first video on auto play. Great tip!

I wrote the copy for the affiliate page today but I have to get my programer (thats on vacation) to add the page. It's times like this I wish I was a programer. I am a couponer with wordpress skills but php and html leaves me baffled...

I don't know if I'm understanding you correctly, but if your Clickbank hoplink is taking affiliate traffic to your lead capture page, that is a big no-no.

That traffic doesn't belong to you. It belongs to your affiliates who are trying to earn sales commissions. Any traffic they send you MUST be directed to your sales page and not a lead capture page.

No good affiliate would put up with a vendor essentially poaching from their list.

You are correct. I was not intentionally poaching from their list, but I see now why it would be that way. I want my affiliates to make money because if they make money then we are all happy!

What if I used the lead capture page for the traffic from my blog. But CB was set to go to the sales page? Would that make affiliates happy? Especially since the sales page converts well.

      I really want happy affiliates!

I make a lot of money as an affiliate and I find it disappointing when there is no lead capture page because that means there is no marketing funnel and that means the person who setup the program doesn't know how to make sales and that means less money in my pocket!

I think the Squeeze page is quite clear from clutter and easy to read. I don't mind a video not on autoplay. My only suggestion would be to include a Title/ Tagline before the video to capture the immediate attention of your readers, so that they would instantly know what the video is about and want to opt-in for it.

I would make the video smaller and put the sign up form above the fold on the lead site.

Correct the wording above the sign up form from "Enter you name..." to "Enter your name..."

Let the affiliates link go to your sales page, especially if its converting well for you.

Do you have any marketing tools that the affiliates can use? Banners, pre-written emails, tweets, etc...?

Thanks for all the great feedback! I added an affiliates page and I bypassed the lead capture page but I am getting it added as a download to the affiliates page so they can use it to build their own list. I also offer the email campaign to my affiliates, and the banners are coming soon. I think I am on the right track and the conversion is good especially for this niche.

Also curious to see what you would have differently and how. The best business plans come from the best SWOT analysis!
