Web 2.0 Backlinking Pages

Quick question warriors. I just created my first page on hub pages. To my dismay, after creation I realized the links to my site in the hub are no follow.

So as far as SEO goes, what is the use of this web 2.0 hub page?

Also, what other sites besides squidoo would you recommend for creating these types of relevant back links?

Thanks warriors!

Hmm, anyone use hub pages here for a good reason and would like to share?

Outgoing links from your own hubpages to your site are not "nofollow". However if you make comments on other hubpages and provide links in those comments then those comments are nofollow

Actually, outgoing links ARE No-Follow initially until your score is above 75. Once you reach that score, they become do-follow. I think hubpages does this to get people more interactive and less spammy.

Should the particular hub's score be 75 or the user's overall score be above 75? Is there a hubscore for the user too or just the hubs?

There are tons of other places where you can drop your content and dofollow backlinks. A few examples are:

    apsense
    aeonity
    blipt.tv
    xanga
    livejournal
    insanejournal
    vox
    tumblr
    live spaces

A good way is to place a new version of the article on all these places and not always the same one as the duplicate content will get filtered out by search engines. I'm using UAW articles, mix them with Article Mixer and place a different version of the articles on different Web 2 sites with anchor text variations of the backlink.
