Morning Warriors!

What are your thoughts on auto-blogs. Are they a good way to promote products or your website? Do they provide an efficient vehicle to drive traffic to your links?

Thank you,
Emily

Yes they still work though nothing beats quality ORIGINAL material.

Its quite easy to get a few hundred visits a day through a typical auto-blog the only problem is if you are using scraped and spun material it can often be unreadable and look like pure garbage which will probably render the visitor useless as a customer, that's why I would recommend you DONT spin content.

I personally have had a lot of luck with building massive lists through my auto-blogs but most people prefer using adsense on these sites

    Good luck

I prefer list building through an autoblog over adsense too. It's all dependant on what niche you're in.

What is YOUR definition of an "auto-blog"? There are good ways and bad ways to set these up. (Some of the bad ways can actually get you sued!) If you search around the forum you will find a lot of threads that go into a lot of detail about the various ways,

Some "auto-blogs" use original quality content. Not all of them are the garbage you describe. The bad ones are what give the 'auto-blog' a bad name.

There are a number of warriors making a killing with autoblogs.

As mentioned, there's just a right way and a wrong way to do it.

The right way? Build backlinks to it, have external links, etc.

If you take content from other sites you may struggle. I set up auto blogs in the sense that I push a couple of buttons within wordpress and a new site is created, but it doesn't automatically fill up with original content.

Well I guess it could, if I already had the content written, but thats a whole 'nother story.

If you are wanting to setup what is essentially a blackhat auto-blog that takes content from other sites for your own personal gain... be my guest. See you back here in one year asking us about your next big idea.

Sure there are others on here who will chime in and say that its a great way to make money if you do it RIGHT. I've never understood how stealing content and the world "right" could ever be uttered in the same sentence.

You can't understand because you can't grasp the concept that autoblogs don't need to steal content.

There is free content available on the internet from a number of sources. Article Directories for one.

Building a money making autoblog is much like a regular site. You make it laser targeted to a niche, you review the articles being posted from time to time, and you build backlinks.

I have Amazon/Adsense autoblog sites pulling in thousands per month with content from multiple sources which are not stolen.

Like the other guy said, there's a right way and a wrong way.

I have found that auto blogs are effective when used on smaller niches and less competitive keywords. They aren't exactly my main source of income, but the good thing is they run on their own and generate some revenue as well as attract a certain number of visitors. I have autoblogs attracting 1000 visitors daily, but unfortunately this does not always mean good conversions. Since it is automated, some content will not be relevant to the niche, attracting traffic from unwanted, unrelated keywords.

Well that didn't take long. Care to enlighten us on how knowing what we are doing can really set us apart from the rest who fail miserably with their auto-blogs?

I have tried autoblogs numerous times in the past, but they never paid off in comparison to how much work I put into them.

Actually, I remember recalling once there was a good autoblog system (can't remember the name).

Anyways, stuff like Caffeinated Content and WP Robot were a waste of my time and money.

Well, auto-blogs mean duplicate content in my eyes if the content derives from copyrighted sources. Be careful when considering building one.

You can automate tons of tasks when it comes to tedious promotion, but whenever google (f.e.) detects duplicate content, it will penalize the given mini-blog or even deindex it.

to the best of my knowledge spun article usage time over time can get you sued if you dont take care and yes it does become illegible and loss of quality can become of shocking proportions and renders a blogger completely useless. (IT CAN AND CANT DEPENDS)
Some of you might not even care or give it a second thought and i dont know some of you may have used it even but considered it trash or scam or a bunch of useless spun articles....what am i talking about? i am talking about socrates killer content system, i am using it and i found a great way to post original content from within the system to find out more look me up on facebook noorjamal or affiliateandbusiness on facebook. So you can read the blog as i have posted the link there and try the system yourself and yes there is a $10 discount. Well even better if you like spun content its great so join me on facebook now and there is a link there of my blog and read the original review of killer content and also see the problems affiliates face. best of luck.
