Looking for blog software that lets you log into all your sites from one console

I'm not aware of something like this, youre basically describing "Tweetdeck" but for - wordpress.

*You might have just identified a need in the IM world - i would love to see some sort of plug-in/software that does this.

It's built-in for any WordPress 3+

Since version 3.0 WP has the MultiSite feature: one installation > making many blogs... all administered from the admin panel of the initial installation.

Those are all subdomains of the original blog though are they not? Is there a way to incorporate blogs on other domains into the mu control panel. If so I seriously missed that when looking at it.

Probably overkill but LFE will let you post to as many wp blogs as you want from one control panel. It is what I use.

There are a couple of online ones as well I believe one of them is called manageWP so you may want to try a search for it. Do not recall the price but I believe they had a free plan when I checked them out.

USE Multi-site. I can't believe how stupid I was not to do this a long time ago. Just set up my first "network" early last week. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

It's not MU. There is no MU anymore.. the two scripts were merged in WP 3.+

Yes, you create your blogs in subfolders or subdomains (depending on your settings) and after that you can use what's called "domain mapping" to add a (parked) domain to those blogs = they will show up on their own domain.

e.g. something.example.com can be "mapped" to any domain and it will show up on yourdomain.com

It is there in the documentation for WP 3.0

Yeah I knew about the merger and had played around with the super admin on a couple of sites but had never considered the mapping strategy.

Hi all, Thanks for the fast responses! I have gotta be honest - some of this is way beyond me, tech wise.

Domain mapping, huh? I pretty much set up all my sites individually, and only 1 or two have a subdomain or subfolder dealie. I guess I am still a little confused if the Multi-site thing is still around and what I need or if I should look into the ManageWP or others. The other one I was looking at was XMarkPro, but if you google it, it comes up as guns and ammo. If you just go to xmarkpro.com I think that is where they have all the info, but it is more than $300 and I'm not sure if I am ready to make that much of an investment. If someone gave a really shining review I might, but the few reviews I've read haven't sealed the deal for me yet. Esp. because the one said it works for new sites, not existing ones, so that may rule it out for me. Thanks again for your time and help, guys.

Blogjet is the software that you can use to loging to all your website wordpress only from your desktop and this software does have really cool features I would say all features that you usually found while posting a post with wordpress interface.

I also recommend Wordpress. Since version 3, the MU project was merged with regular Wordpress. It comes disabled by default and as said before you can use the Domain Mapping plugin to run an unlimited number of Top level domains on the same Wordpress install.

It's really great allowing you to have a central location for all the sites in the installation, while still allowing each site to remain seperate and have there own database tables and settings. Some things remain shared such as the themes and plugins folders, the wp_users table, etc.
