Recommend a WordPress theme!

So I made a site about my new web consulting/services business, but it looks dreadful.

So in here, I'm looking for a free WordPress theme that could be used; it can't really look like a blog though.

Thanks in advance.

There are many free themes. It takes time to go through them all. Or you can set filters to find those with eg., customized headers, number of columns and so forth. I find I end up on many wordpress themed sites that don't look like a casual blog. Especially if they are simply minimal and clearly laid out.

Weaver is free and very customizable. Kind of reminds me of Socrates in a way with very clean code. Has multiple "skins" to start with to get different looks and then easy options for customization. Most things are push-button until you get super customized... then might need a small bit of coding but nothing major.

If you can't get a premium theme, check out Weaver. It's pretty nice

I would suggest instead of asking here you should go and try different theme for your site. as now a days people are really contributing free theme in wordpress but in many cases you may have to put a link back in the footer.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you're offering web consulting shouldn't you be able to get a paid custom theme or at least a team to create one for you?

You need to invest to get back.

ThemeForest is a good option for you, probably the best.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

I have to agree with Fernando. You might want to do a paid version, because then you can better showcase your site. I just bought some themes from Elegant Themes that were pretty damn cheap! 61 sites for $39. Better than 2011.
