Plural and singular domain names

Had a question about domain names.

Two different keywords

- Chair
- Chairs

Now if you were to have the domain name chair.com, would it also have a good chance of showing up as chairs.com if the term chair was searched?

Going the other way around, if someone searched "Chairs" would chair.com still have the same or lesser chance of being shown as chairs.com would?

Also think that both sites are completely the same in links, and pages, and seo. just different domain names.

It would all depend on content and how well your site is seo structured. It also can be visa versa. And if you own chair.com or chairs.com and want to sell then let me know I have a big buyer for one word names.

I once bought a plural domain to push a plural keyword and a singular domain to push a singular keyword. They both did equally well.

Thanks for the posts guys, as I'm in a interested in a keyword that has high searches for the plural and singular form of the niche. and I didn't know if I should use the plural form to dominate both of the keywords.

I have a website with the plural in the domain name and i rank #1 for both the plural and single. I built links focusing on the plural as my main keyword and single keyword as my secondary keyword.

My thinking is that plural includes singular, so it is better.

The real question is- what are prospects searching for- chair or chairs?

Have you tried both for keyword searches? If you don't own both, someone else will. Take them both for $9 per year. Don't learn the
hard way for such a reasonable investment.
    Good luck
