I just found out my domain name premierleagueonline.com is a PR2 domain name and it's just hitting 8 years old.

This appraisal is nearly $15.5k lol i know it's not worth that much.

Wow nice! There are a lot of ways to make it work. One that comes to mind is making it into a blog to promote yourself as a thought leader in whatever niche/s you are in. Write good content related to what you do and update it at least once a week or so.

What I generally do is put 4 good "unique" articles in at the beginning of a month and then set the post dates so I dont have to worry about going back to it unless of course you want to.

The content would be all about you. Your experience as a marketer or whatever you are about whether it be a photographer, police officer, real estate agent, etc. or simply about what you would like your audience to know about what you have to offer. But don't go splashing it with Google ads or affiliate banners. You want to keep your visitors interested and coming back for more.

It has taken you 8 years to see a PR2?. lol ... its best you get some content on there asap to keep it alive or it may drop.

That appraisal sounds like what LeapFish was doing years ago.

I didn't really use the domain.. It was more for my email address. 8 years is long. But i didnt do anything to the site like SEO/Linking. Was just a personal page.

      Google is never wrong.

But it may be the age that has it at pr2 I'm not sure but its a valid pr2.

Cool that it's PR2, but I doubt it's really worth much. You can use it to offer services or something.

Oh i'm not selling it. It's been my domain for 8 years. It's my personal name and email address. I might put my web design service up again.

Since its your own name, you're highly unlikely to find someone to sell it to (unless of course there are more David Stokes than I thought).

You're best bet is either to develop a content filled blog or use it to link to other niche relevant sites to help their SEO effots.

PR is over rated... and unless you can find a person with the same name as you that really wants the domain.. it is worth more to you...

If i did go back to my web design / graphic design. Who this domain be easier to get ranks for "Web design" over a new domain name with a better domain name.

I know Web Design is competitive. But I would be targeting my local area.

Since this is my own personal name is there anyway to make this name work?
May not be worth 15k but an 8 year old domain could be a goldmine if you can increase the PR to anything over a 5. Hell you could probably easily make a solid monthly income by selling links on the homepage. Maybe make a personal blog out of it, comment on current events and all that jazz.

Start building links from high PR sources and then when you increase the page rank start selling links. That's what I would do with an eight year old domain at least.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Turn it into a consulting website and charge for your services.
