Sounds like somewhat of a lucky sale, but you should look at the site and how that person got to it and bought the item. Get an idea of what you did right and work from there.

Congrats! I had an almost identical experience. i put all my affiliate sites on the backburner and focussed on product creation after Google sent them into the outer reaches. When I went back after four months I found sales. it would be nice to say I now know what works, but i feel just as much in the dark as ever.

This proves that jumping around between opportunities isnt exactly the best approach.

Learn one thing at a time and stick with it. You could be relatively close to success, before you "give up" and move onto the next BSO.

But you must be commended for taking action. That is the best way to see results. Actions breed results as they say. So congrats for taking the first step. now why you are doing backflips and excited use that to take the next step, which is more action.

Your half-built website is making you income, imagine your fully built website.

That means your website has the potential to make more. If I were you, I'd build on the website.

Congratulations! Keep up the good work, if it worked once it can work again. Scale up that site and add more content and target more keywords. If you keep skipping around you may end up finding that nothing is working because you don't stick to it long enough to see the results.

I know the feeling as many of us here do. One of the affiliates (don't remember which one) starts to dedcut from your acc't when there are no sales within a certain period. Can't recall....Clickbank, C.J., Share-a-Sale, Link Share????? Isn't there controversy about Amazon ?

It can take a couple months for a website or article to mature enough to generate sales. You can sometimes shorten this period with an aggressive link building campaign, but it's still pretty difficult. I'm not at all surprised that you got your first sale a couple months after giving up. It's happened to me too.

You should always stick with a project for at least 9 months so you can gauge how effective it will be.

Few months ago I made a blog around one clickbank product and 'till today I do not have a single sale I'm going to give up with it, but I still have hope that soon I will login to my clickbank account and see the same picture congrats, these are the things that makes us go on...

I've yet to make mine, but honestly I haven't done much promotion.

I tried some "lazy" methods like hiring someone on Fiverr to pass out flyers in major cities with a domain redirect to a CB product sales page, but that didn't work.

I also tried buying some traffic from Adf.ly, but that didn't produce any sales either.

Twitter marketing? No again.

I have to rethink my strategy for promoting products as an affiliate for sure. ;^)

So I hope you can continue to make sales from your site for a long time to come!

lol..i remember when i first promote clickbank products..just like you, i didn't expect can make some money..just set and leave it..
and a few weeks later i got my first sale!

I am always excited to hear anyone mention their first sale. I know there will be many more. Have you figured out the things that you did to get that sale. Were you a pusher or a helping? Duplicating what you did will make your rewards flow to you everyday.
