What platform is best for testing your competitions strength.. Squidoo, Hubpages, something else?

I have a keyword phrase where the competition is super weak, its a buyer keyword and I have created a 500 word article around that phase. I want to place this article on a platform where I will benefit from it's authority, just to confirm..

1.) The competitions strength
2.) If my content converts

That will help me determine if I should grab the emd for the phrase or not and invest more time and energy into SEO and will help me decide if I should build the site out or not etc.,

any ideas? Document sharing sites maybe.. or any web 2.0 site that Google is in love with at the moment?

cheers,

ej

I suggest to turn the article into a video.

Basically you use one of the many free text-to-audio sites and create an mp3 of your report. Then you create a picture using paint.

Take all that and import into windows moviemaker (comes free with any windows computer) and create a "video". Then upload to Youtube.

If the niche has some kind of decent traffic you will see that with your video.

    HP

    PS:
Maybe you can also throw up some quick backlinks if your video does not rank on #1 for your keyword

ooooh.. didn't even think about that. So hmm.. use powerpoint or something, put the content on the slides and read it out, use camstudio to record maybe? Then place a link somehow and see if people go to that link?

You were a little too fast with your reply. I wrote "writing" just to indicate that I was still writing the post.
